Can anyone tell me how to get the scorched stainless look on the Sand Scorcher's stinger?
-
I'm looking for a good but fairly cheap steering servo for the Sand Scorcher and maybe one to pop into the Neo Scorcher as well. Any suggestions?

After building my 6yo a Pink Neo Scorcher we took it on it's first outing yesterday to the beach. I charged 2 batteries and she ran both of them flat, and then wanted them recharged again, now she keeps asking if we can go to the beach this weekend. I think I have a new RC fan .

So I guess the "Hotshot " is very popular, so my next question is, is the Super Shot worth the extra £50? Or the Metallic version worth the extra £70?
-
I've got to say that the "Hotshot" was top of my list, closely followed by a "Wild One" but 4wd appeals to me more.

I'm looking for recommendations for my next kit, I've got a Re re Sand Scorcher, Subaru Impreza 2001 tl01 and a Pink Neo Scorcher. I've got a birthday coming up soon and I want another kit to build it was thinking another buggy but as long as it's off road I'm open to suggestions, I'm also old school that's why I have the Sand Scorcher because it takes me back to being 12 yo again, but don't let that stop you recommending new models as well.

Does anyone know what the differences are between the original and re release Hotshot? I'm not talking about the box the actual car itself, I'm hoping to get one as a birthday present as I have a massive urge to build one, I always wanted one when I was younger or the other car I always wanted was the Wild One.

Are these any good? I've just bought my little girl a Pink Neo Scorcher and I thought maybe I should get a 1/10th Buggy for myself and I've seen the Rising Storm, the only problem with it is that I can only find XB ones and I like to build the kit.

Thanks for the tips I've heard of this green slime I'll give it a go.

Anyone know how I can stop the standard shocks on my re re Sand Scorcher from leaking, at the moment I've got some aftermarket shocks on there but they are really stiff and don't have a lot of bounce in them. I have read somewhere that you can get different seals to go in them but where would I get them from?

What glue do you guys use to stick the accessories on your Tamiya? I've got a re re Sand Scorcher and I've glued the number plates and all the other stuff on with revell glue but everytime it goes out I somehow lose another piece. I've just ordered some new parts so now I need decent glue to keep them on.

Can anyone recommend good dirt/ gravel tyres for the Sand Scorcher? I've got a set of Rough Rider wheels as well for it so tyres for them would be fine. I'm running a 80A esc with a 4250KV motor and can't seem to get decent grip on any surface.

The track I was on was quite small, it probably only got about a foot off the floor and landed on the down ramp, from the jump that did this.

After another successful afternoon of bashing I managed to break 2 front wheels and lose the rear number plate. So my question is where is the best / cheapest place to buy a set of wheels? Standard plastic ones or alloys? I will post pictures later.

I've got a Turnigy Accucel-6 charger http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__64345__Turnigy_Accucel_6_80W_10A_Balancer_Charger_LiHV_Capable.html I've got two Zippy 5400mAh LiPo's https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=32229 I've also got one of these https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=26090 My question is will I be able to charge both packs in parallel? Will it take twice as long as it would if I just charged the one battery at a time, or would it take the same time as it would take to charge one? Also will it make any difference if they're charged from a car battery?

I hope this works, sorry for the bad driving.

Yes my wife filmed a bit on my phone, I'll get it on YouTube and post a link.

I took the Sand Scorcher to the beach today, all I can say is "oh my god". This beast is now mental, definitely need the program card so I can set it up properly.
-
Is this the right programming card? https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=42932
-
You were right about the programme card only the top light illuminates, haven't had time to get onto hobbyking, also haven't been able to take the Scorcher on a road test either.

Sand Scorcher/ Buggy Champ ball differential.
Matt888 replied to Matt888's topic in General discussions
Ok so if I'm getting this right when you first build the diff and you have it in your hand you undo the bolt 1/2 turn, then fit it into the diff casing put the wheels on, lock it with the Allen key and tighten up 1/4 of a turn? Also did the bearings in the gear go in both ways because mine would drop through, did you grease both sides of the plates? -
The only reason I thought that the steering was working is because it ran off and did a 180 spin the first time it happened, it happens so fast that I haven't been able to see if I can get it to steer again it's usually hit something or shut down before my reflexes can kick in, so I would think that you are probably right about it browning out, I've got a new esc coming with built in Bec so I'll fit it and give it a whirl and hope that sorts it.
