  1. I might take Lunchbox out for a blast later if i get time, but looks like it might have all gone by the time i finish work
  2. I know next to nothing about Traxxas but that sounds like a good plan to me
  3. Interesting thread! Vintage Egress would be a good call, although it might get expensive if it has an epic crash Kudos to you guys for entering when neither of you have ever raced. I've never done any races either, but not sure I'd have the guts to try it. Good luck
  4. Anyone got one? I got one this Christmas, its pretty cool but I think you need to have Amazon Prime to get the full benefits Prime music is good, I can just tell it to play a song and it plays it, even when I ask for a random song, and there's plenty of other things you can ask it such as the news, which you can cutomise to your preferred news stations and the weather etc. I think it's still in its infancy in terms of what it can do, but so far i'm impressed
  5. That was the impression I got too I'd be tempted to get it, but it comes with a pistol grip/wheel transmitter, and I can't use them to save my life
  6. It looks like great fun in this video, but the front wheels look like they are about to flatten out sometimes
  7. Traxxas are releasing a BigFoot truck styled around the original Ford Monster Truck. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/traxxas-bigfoot-no.-1-original-monster-truck-xl-5-rtr/rc-car-products/407863 Same chassis as other models by the looks of things, but I'm not a Traxxas expert so i could be wrong Bodyshell is pretty cool, looks mean. Wonder if could be bodged onto a Clod chassis?
  8. The new U-wing Lego kit from Rogue One is seriously tempting.....
  9. I can see what you mean I thought about modifying my Lunchbox, as other than being fully ballraced its not got any other mods I watched Matteo's video of his stock Lunchbox bouncing around in the sand, and after getting my own and having it do the same, i decided to leave the stock shocks on it, as its so much fun to drive that i'm happy with it I only drive it on soft ground though, never tarmac.
  10. I missed out on Egress, but at that price i'd never be able to sneak it past Mrs Newsh
  11. Great thread Hornet was the first re-re I bought and I loved building it. I always wanted one when I was a kid in the 80's, but my dad said it was too fast for me Tempted to get another if I'm honest, just to keep in the box and stare at
  12. Me and the wife are both mid to late 30's and still buy Lego We have a son who will be 2 in April, so now we have an excuse to buy it other than the fact is for us As my friends says, "You don't stop playing when you grow up, you grow up when you stop playing"
  13. Me and the wife are both mid to late 30's and still bit Lego We now have a son who will be 2 in April, so now we have an excuse to buy it other than the fact is for us As my friends says, "You don't stop playing when you grow up, you grow up when you stop playing"
  14. I actually used Games Workshop Corax White for the primer as I'd ran out of fine surface primer, and then after a few coats of the Tamiya Metallic Blue, I used Tamiya Clear as a clear coat.
  15. Apologies if this is already known, but I noticed this today: http://www.timetunnelmodels.co.uk/live/catalog/seproduct_info.php?products_id=55318 Time tunnel expecting more Egress kits in April 2017 Does this mean we can expect more UK suppliers to follow suit?
  16. Thanks all - just waiting for some decent weather so i can take it out for a drive!
  17. The Lunchbox and Hornet videos are two of my favourites.
  18. Seeing as I've just arranged to buy a Mud Blaster, you can guarantee they'll re-re it! like you said, the MB and Blackfoot chassis requires little to no modification, and the Brat is out there so an updated instruction manual and a set of decals, and there you go. Hope it happens
  19. Ever since it hit the shops in 1991, I wanted a Bullhead. I never got one as a kid, but now I'm a grown adult/big kid I've finally got myself one, albeit the re-released version. I've had it a while, but believe it or not only finshed the build over the Christmas holidays. I didn't manage to get many buld pics at all, but i did get some while painting the shell. At last! Painting - primer coat then a few light coats of Tamiya Metallic Blue, then Tamiya Clear. This is the only build picture I managed to get (spot the little helper) And the finished article. Fully ball-raced and painted box art. The only difference is that I bought an extra flag as I always wanted two when i was a kid. This thing is a beast. Took it outside for some shots, although the light makes it look like a flat blue even though its quite shiny in the flesh Won't be running this near any tarmac, if i take it out it will be soft dirt or a beach - frightened of rolling it and trashing the body. Might have to get a spare shell Cheers
  20. The Racing Fighter would be a better body shell to do a Falcon tribute, as its a similar shape athough a bit slimmer. Its also a DT03 Car but the rear shell mouting is different, so i'm not sure what you'd need to do to get it to fit You can get Repro Falcon decals on ebay, rather than genuine, they are usually about £12
  21. Nice. I think the Racing Fighter would look great with Falcon Decals and paint scheme too
  22. If you don't buy his Falcon, tell him I will. Been after one for a while
