  1. Apparently RW racing is about to release an upgraded top force spur gear set. There is a thread on the oople vintage forum if that's ok to mention.
  2. Hi guys, is there a way of widening the front end on a rere Hornet?
  3. I have been keeping an eye on this, and I'm glad they are going into production. I had a look on the site today, and noticed the price for two diffs has gone up from $115 to 140. As I am in the UK that means after shipping and added taxes it could end up nearer $200. Thats pretty much what the whole car cost me.
  4. I think they may be different, I think the ends of the dog bones are different sizes (ball diameter and pin?)
  5. I have assembled my transmission kit now. I found it impossible to get the plastic pulley side fences on. My mate suggested warming them up in just boiled water to ease them on. I clipped them on as far as I could (about 2/3 around) then dipped them in the hot water for 30 odd seconds. This then allowed me to clip the rest of the fence on using my fingers. I'm really not sure how you could use pliers as suggested without damaging something.
  6. The upgrade has not been released yet! The last I heard was mid to late September. I am waiting to strip mine down and rebuild with the upgrade.
  7. It doesn't come with any, but I would recommend a medium viscosity one so it does not run everywhere!
  8. I ended up putting a Tamiya heavy duty one in, which seems to be working fine. Thanks for the reply though :-)
  9. Thanks, same as the ones I posted a link too.
  10. Thanks for the pics, that's what I am aiming for. I think these ball ends should fit the ball joints on the steering arms and let me use the turnbuckles. https://tamiyabase.com/index.php?option=com_joodb&view=article&id=7406&joobase=10&Itemid=775
  11. Yep, what I need is some ball joint ends that will fit onto the stock steering arms, and take a thicker steering rod. I am not sure what the steering arm ball size is, so if anyone has done this it would be good :-)
  12. Hi guys. I want to replace the steering rods on my re re Frog with modern 3mm sized turnbuckles and centralize the servo. I am not sure what ball joint ends will fit on the steering arms and work with a 3mm turnbuckle. The kit white ones are a bit small to accommodate a 3mm hole I would think. Any suggestions please?
  13. Thanks for the info so far guys :-)
  14. Hi guys. I am looking to increase the front track width of my Frog. I have fitted a nylon 1160 bearing in between the front axle bracket and the upright, where the star washer sits. The increase is about what I am looking for, but I think it will need a star washer each side to try and prevent any chance of it slipping. I was thinking a 3d printed part which had tabs to key it in each side would be fairly simple for someone skilled to produce, does anyone currently make such a part?
  15. What sort of ride height do you race the Boomerang at? Looks like mine is going to be my Revival runner now! Cheers :-)
  16. How much is the rear track width affected with those Schumacher wheels fitted please?
  17. On my Boomerang that I have converted to twin front dampers, I fitted the two hole trf pistons which I drilled out to 1.2mm front and 1.3mm rear. At the moment I have old style green associated springs on the front, and kit rear. I think I put 30wt oil in first to try it out, I really should write it down! I think silver front springs will be better on the front next time I try it.
  18. I have not heard of anyone in the UK having one yet, including team drivers. I dont think any have been released yet.
  19. The release date is now July (nothing more specific) according to the Schumacher website. Not great news for Revival runners including me :-(
  20. Hi, can anyone recommend a replacement heavy duty servo saver for a Boomerang please? It must fit the standard steering layout. Thanks :-)
  21. It looks like I have already have the Boomerang re re diff outputs 9808129, but did not fit them when I realised the old dog bones would not fit. So it looks like I just need the universal drive shafts after all :-)
