  1. I am pretty sure I now have the re re gearbox casings as I replaced them both, and now have the e clips fitted along with the 1150 ballraces. I still have the original diff outputs and dog bones. I did fit some new Hotshot re re (I think) diff outputs, then discovered the original dog bones would not fit as the ball ends of the drive shafts are too big.
  2. Are these the correct parts for my original Boomerang diff outputs? https://tamiyabase.com/index.php?option=com_joodb&view=article&id=4504&joobase=10&Itemid=775 Thanks :-)
  3. I have already changed the prop shaft, so it's the diff outputs and drive shafts next.
  4. Do you have the part number for the correct diff outdrives please kontemax? I would like to change my vintage outdrives and dog bones for universal driveshafts Thanks :-)
  5. Here is a pic of the issue. It was not easy to get a good angle, but you can see how close the rod is to the shock bottom. That is after I fitted shorter ball joints in the rack, and reduced the thickness of the mounting points to move it as far back as possible. I will fit a slightly thinner rod, but it will not help much I fear.
  6. The parts fit ok, it's just the design does not seem to allow for any clearance between the bottom shock mounting and the steering rod. I suspect the Hotshot setup has more space due to the different steering setup. I will post a pic later. After a prompt response to my first question, they seem to have gone very quiet after I sent a second message and pic....
  7. I think the Hotshot may be different due to the steering layout. I did get a response which was of no help. I have sent another message with a picture, hoping for something more useful.
  8. Hi, I am trying to sort out a problem I am having with the Radshape supershot style front suspension setup, the type with the shocks behind the wishbones. I am struggling to get clearance between the steering rods and the bottom shock eyelet where it fits onto the wishbone bracket. I have put shorter ball joints on the rack, and thinned down the plastic spacer behind it. I am going to ring the company for any ideas, but was wondering if any one else has had this problem. I have the Supershot parts too, and they are worse!
  9. What is the front camber like at ride height? It looks like a lot of front suspension droop there which may be exaggerating it.
  10. Thanks guys. If I can find any 4mm tubing locally I will make it myself, but hobby stores in the UK around my area are thin on the ground!
  11. Thanks, the screw bag is available ok. I am missing the motor screw tube too!
  12. Hi, amongst other missing bits on my Boomerang, I need some of the motor meshing strips that you change for different pinion sizes. They do not seem very easy to come by, is there another simple way to do it? Thanks for reading :-)
  13. Hi guys. I am after some front wishbones for a Boomerang, F parts 9005867. I would prefer new if possible, but some good condition used ones will be fine. Please let me know if you have anything suitable. Cheers :-)
  14. I would imagine a good clean of both parts then keying the stub axle before gluing with jb weld would fix them in.
  15. Any of the TC shafts like TT02, or XV01?
  16. A shaft drive chassis would be better but still have an exposed spur gear most likely. The XV01 goes really well as a rally car for me :-)
  17. I have started rebuilding the Super Hornet. I notice that when pushing the rear of the car down, the pivot mount at the front moves all the way up, before the shocks actually do! I have moved the bottom shock mounting onto the gearbox sides like the Grasshopper and Hornet, and now they work much better. I think I will leave it like that for the time being, and see if you can work your magic :-)
  18. Wow, I had no idea it was soooo bad! It does feel like it has issues, I was hoping a simple solution was available. I would guess you are the man for the job :-)
  19. Hi Pintopower. I have stock Super Hornet which I would like to add a gearbox/transmission brace to. I have not seen one that is suitable, are you able to advise please? There is no room for a 3rd shock from looking at the car. Thanks :-)
  20. Thanks :-) I am going to get a piece of wooden dowelling and try a compression test against the other springs, should help confirm where they sit in the range.
  21. Hi everyone. I have some gold springs which came with my TA04. I will be racing it soon, does anyone know what spring rate it is, or how it compares to say the yellow and blue springs? Thanks :-)
  22. Thanks Truck. I found some (cough) hpi wheels with a 3mm offset which should suit in black. I'm not keen on wheels sitting back in the arches myself, loving the scale look :-)
