  1. Though the xx4 is a few years old, you cant really classify it a vintage model as there's numerous people round the world still uses and race these ya know? [8D] []
  2. Well im not too sure tekin were the only ones as ive had my MRT brake fets blow on me a few times and another friend of mine had his blow on his novak, when it blows, it Blows [8D]
  3. Sorry Sammy, fraid its a no can do as ive packed all my stuff and moving out very soon. And i wont be anywhere near the vacinity, in fact ill be a thousand miles away, sorry dude [8)]
  4. Gee, where you been, that song must be 4 years old [xx(]
  5. Showing concerns on premiums that sellers charge on postage, was'nt *****ing, there is a difference. (SF)[}] Had no reservation in buying it in the first place. One liner ***
  6. LMAO...great.. Now they made it fashionable to wear dog collars [)]... It is rather amazing
  7. Hoping they stick to the budget? [)] Come on fella, since when did any projects worked to budget? 1. Millenium flop, oops sorry i meant Dome. How many foreign investors did they try to sway to buy it? 2. Wembley? aint even finished yet! How many foreign investors backside must they kiss before it gets done?. If london is such a rich city and all powerful then why is it getting funding issues and why does it have to look afar to get it? Something they did look at was the transport structure and compared it to the next Olympic hosts (China) this was something where they thought they get the mayor of london in the frame, to work out some sort of timetable to get it into line with China's. Ive been to china not more than 2 years ago and even with 7 years to go, there wont be anything that london can do to improve what is currently a very very busy bus network, unless by magic they can cut traffic in london by half. With all that heatwave we have been getting in between the mild spells, i can tell you theres a broken (overheating issues) bus every 2 mins and if one of those buses broke down in the heart of london, i can tell you that it affects other bus routes going along that road and can hold the traffic for upto an hour on average. I see this all the time. It gets worse. Once theres a broken down bus, they then put those other bus routes on diversion to get to their destinations, so think of the chain reaction thats going to cause. I dont think 10 years is enough chris, add 5 more to that then you go over the tollerance phase, thats if you carried on living here. But because you moved out i suppose taught you to appreciate the quieter place that you reside to now? If i had to make a choice where it should been held in the uK, i wouldve said Birmingham, which in respect to the arguments it really isnt too far from london and its a well developed city, someone said Manchester rains too much, I dont know that for sure but we cant have a games thats waterlogged? but anyways you all know which uK city ill be voting last. []
  8. Funny isnt it?.. Majority of us are saying that the london idea isnt such a good one, and yeah quite right Terry i remember the commonwealth games and how a huge success that was and how Manchester was really banking on the idea that if the CW games were Good then surely their prospect for a future bid could be a good one. I dont know about Manchester but i do know london as what it is now is like a huge bubble just waiting to burst!. It is well and trully overcrowded with crazy people and far too much polluted streets from automobiles and with the games being held here is asking for a lot trouble. Heck the public services struggle from your normal day to day life how much more when the olympics are here. London is a bad choice, east london is joke. I dont know what they expect to achive before the games but i can assure them it aint going to be an easy ride by a long stretch. I dont want to sound anti patriot but come on lets face it, France should've had this in the bag. France had half or most of the facilities built, strategically they have a sound location for a lot of nations to get to, their infrastructure isnt too bad neither. Their urban cities arent as bad as londons when in rush hour?. I think it involved some politics as terry pointed out but also the fact that spain was an allie at the iraqi invasion couldve played its roles in the swaying the spanish IOC representatives? [?]
  9. Just imagine, if it aint bad enough having people cram into buses which looks like a can of sardines, imagine how it'd be like with 5 times more people cramming in?...Pancakes?? []
  10. quote:Originally posted by ScorchioBut it will still be cool to pop down to Weymouth for the sailing events [8D]. I wonder if they'll do park and ride from Stratford. id="quote">id="quote">I think the ride from stratford is a bad idea mate, think of all the trouble makers that could go there and ruin Weymouth too? [8)] at least leave all the touble in london eh?
  11. quote:Originally posted by mud4funLOL, Jozza, while in one respect it is great news in another respect it is yet another event in London. If the whole point is to encourage people to get into sport then London is the last place I'd put it. Why not somewhere central with excellent transport links? like just off the M1 or M6 near Birmingham? not slap bang in the heart of traffic-jam-ville. Once it is all over I am not going to be tempted to use those London facilities when I live in North Lincolnshire, same reason the Dome was a failure because they put it in London. When will our Government learn that not all of us in the uK consider London as the center of the known universe - in fact as I lived/worked there for years I'd say it is quite the opposite! Anyway, Chris, all you need to do is convince the IOC that radio controlled car racing attracts more viewers and hence more revenue than athletic events and they'll replace the athletics with it - as with anything now its all about potential revenue. You can explain that it takes great skill to race these cars and needs huge physical effort of your thumbs to move the sticks.....and it has another advantage - the cars don't need illegal substances to win races [] id="quote">id="quote">I'll have to agree with Mud4fun with london being overrated, i live in london and i hate it here. I have nothing but envy for my work collegues who live far out of london where the environment and people in general are far far nicer. My work consist of being part of Transport for London and i can tell you the transport is very very far from being adequate. THey think by putting more and more buses and use of bendy buses is the answer but it isnt. From the word go this transport programme they are going to try and achieve will fail simply because of the road infrustructure. It simply cannot and will not cope. And what a place to put the olympics? [8)] STRATFORD??? [xx(][xx(], LMAO. right into some of the roughest area you could hold it in and they land it at stratford?.. Jesus!!, Might as well be honest and tell those wannabie spectators that theres a high level risk that they may get mugged or physically abused and might be approached by drug dealers wanna make a quick buck. What ever the english committee said or did to sell london, i gotta say they did a **** good job of selling it and they better know how to step up to the task of properly policing the area while the games are in progress. This will not be a straight forward task. Anyone who lives near or in london especially east london will know exactly what im talking about..
  12. Fair do's chris, hope you get that up and running soon. Sammy, we'll play it by ear at moment only until your on your summer's break, i dont think you should be detracted from school homework []. What id like to know from you lot is when is the proposed schedule for this event and is it a big/small meetup. If its going to be big i think its a safer bet to go to a little secluded area rather than hollow ponds if otherwise then yeah lets do it as is?
  13. Where bouts are you chris? I could help you in that department []
  14. Chris, i dunno if i missed it but if you scroll down on that page you pasted, it has the names of the facilities, lands etc in which the bylaws cover, now im not sure if i ever saw hollow ponds on there or i may have simply missed it? It said on there that you may not fly kites but i swear every summer that i pop in there to eat my Bigmac [] theres always 2-3 kites flying about in the air, so what gives? [?] .. Sammy, i really dont see it much of a risk. I would've gone there anyways like i always did, but since you guys are law abiding citizens (not saying im a criminal or anything [)]) im happy to play along with your conditions. I would and could bring my rc car to just try it out but i gotta go through a lot of bother just to burn rubber, but if you need someone to go along with you to try this out then let me know, ill be more than happy to debate the regulations with the chappy. Just you guys do the homework with the law thing so im not making a fool of myself and ill clear it up. I would do it myself but a im pre occupied with a little one running around [].. Joe
