Nah that's all good man, It's just up to you now whether you still want to go to the BMX track at Homebush or go to the Buggy Track and Bushwalking trails around that lake on Henry Lawson Drive at Landsdowne.

Green Meanie CR-01
Green Meanie replied to Green Meanie's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Next phase on the Green Meanie was converting to 4 wheel steering The Standard Locked out setup Dismantled The 4 wheel steer setup, I had to run the servo horn upside down because I couldn't get hold of a signal reverser for the rear servo Did the job though, albeit one or 2 times the servos have cut out on me While I was at it too I took to the body with a Sharpie and filled in the body Shut Lines. Makes it stand out a bit more realistically -
I just realized Sunday 6th is Fathers day. Are you still keen to do it that day?? Could be a day out with the kids, doing what dad wants, driving RC

Show Off your CR-01

Not too bad, I don't do that sort of thing with it often, More just a trail runner and basic crawler, I was just having a blast that arvo This is more the sort of thing I do with it. And as you would have seen in the other pics -
The one in the Rear is a Futaba, but not too sure about the one up front, car was sold to me as a package and the guy threw in the extras like Servo and ESC etc
-
I will investigate further but apparently the Avante is on a Re-Release?? The guy I speak of has told me he has them in stock...... But he also mentioned the Avante Aero so not sure which of the 2 he is talking about

My Radio does have fairly reasonable speed control I configured the ESC as per its instructions and seems to be Ok thus far.

Open invite to Greater Sydney Area
Green Meanie replied to Green Meanie's topic in Meetings & Events
Here is a few pics of the Buggy Track, I went there today And in the background you can see the tar Cycling Track great for road cars and drifters etc -
Just a little addendum. I took the car out today and did about 3 hours of driving just on basic flat dirt with nothing too strenuous and didn't have a single servo problem.......

Thanks for that Dorvak. I will look into a dedicated Crawler ESC like a Rooster? I should add that it has done it again but only under "harsh" conditions where the wheels are twisting this way and that looking for a line. And especially if I pause in that position for too long while I take a photo. This is one such picture where my servo froze again and I had to reset them.

Do you know what the Gearing is in the Lunchbox?? Maybe a different Pinion Gear on the motor might help too but I really like the Calibration Idea that XV Pilot mentioned. I use my CR-01 when I am out Bushwalking and I'd like it to be slower, whilst I have the ability to lightly throttle the control it would still be nice to not have to be so careful with the throttle. The flipside is though I do like having a bit of speed for jumps etc.......... as best as a CR-01 can manage that is...

2 and a bit hours of Bushwalking/Driving Now drowning my sorrows infront of the computer, just watched my Sydney Ice Hockey team lose their chance at a Finals spot.........

Open invite to anyone in Greater Sydney Area, Wollongong, Central Coast, Mountains, whatever...... depends on how far any any given person is prepared to travel. I myself have a CR-01 so I'm not fast on the ground by any means so I am probably more suited to people into Crawling or Trail Driving, But also keen for anyone with Racing Buggies or whatever to meet up. I have found a great place that can suit EVERYONE'S needs from Buggies to Crawlers to Road Cars. Check the place out on Google Maps if you wish. Landsdowne Park on Henry Lawson Drive, Landsdowne/Georges Hall Google Maps Co-ords -33.899592, 150.975392 There is a Buggy/Racing Track, a Bitumen cycling track that will suit road cars and Plenty of Bush walking trails, fire roads for Crawlers and Trail drivers like myself. Here are a few pics I took there today to give you an Idea of the terrain I drive. There is also a not too bad Lake to relax by and have lunch, not that I'd wanna swim in it though its a bit dirty. And some sweet singletrack Racing, Trail Driving or whatever you do feel free to contact me via here or PM to arrange a meet if you have a distance to travel or if your close by I can generally be found there most Weekends around the 10.30 - 2pm mark

I Still have my Quick Drive version of the Avante 2001 but will be asking my "source" if said Avante he has is for sale or just for show. I'm guessing the latter because he has told me how many people he gets trying to hunt them down

Green Meanie CR-01
Green Meanie replied to Green Meanie's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Saturday Morning Stroll But whoops, had a rollover and broke off my imitation CB antenna -
Had my CR-01 out the other day, I have added a second servo to make it 4 Wheel steer, connecter via a Y lead to the 1 channel. Was driving fine then got into a bit of crawling on some rocks and the car just stayed locked in a turning circle. The wheels would not come back to neutral position. Even turning the wheel on my controller would not bring them back, there was no response. Turned the car off and then back on they reset themselves and it was driving again fine after that. Any Ideas as to what may have caused the problem??

I think I know of a place that has one. When I say "Think" I mean I don't know if its just part of their collection or if it is for sale perse
