  1. Some nice dampers, x-rings and a driver figure for a project.
  2. The improvement is definitely worth it. The costs depends on the servos you choose and the mounting solution. I had two generic 30 kg servos and a self build mounting bracket on mine. That wasn't that expensive.
  3. Here's a link. I think that these are the bars: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=74352&id=13616
  4. Such a lovely car. Your work is incredible!
  5. I would go for both. It increase the turning circle considerably. Tried that with no luck. So I moved on to the servo on axle mod and was happy with it. Meanwhile sold the truck.
  6. I thought about that too. Especially as someone mentioned the Porsche 959 in connection with the XM-01. That would be nice. But did that happened in the last years? Were they present something new on the last day of the fair?
  7. Are you looking for this? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://cdn.simba-dickie-group.de/downloads/300045030/300045030_EXPEC_SP_27_MHz.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiAwueZ9_ODAxW37rsIHX_sCsIQFnoECAwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2J2XRrBMd1-s5dxFprZ0Co
  8. How about the Jconcepts 9 shot? https://jconcepts.net/9-shot-22-rear-wheel-4pc Comes in different colours.
  9. I would go with a single action airbrush as it's easy to use. Up to now I had no good results with double action airbrush as I didn't manage to use it sufficient. For single action you just need to pull the trigger and it works. Of course you need the right viscosity for the paint and a little bit of sense in your finger. And an additional set of different needles is also recommended. I was at the same point as you and decided to start with a model from the lower price range. I have a model from Amazon like this one... https://amzn.eu/d/eL8CYbd ... and I'm happy with it. I'm working with a 10 l compressor with an additional pressure regulator with integrated water separator and a hobby spray booth.
  10. In this thread are some alternatives listed. Don't know if they all are still available but you could have a look. https://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?/topic/90960-blitzer-beetle-tires/&tab=comments#comment-763961
  11. If I read the manual correctly it means Tractor Truck Optional & Spare Parts and seems to refer to page 27.
  12. Thanks for the information. Yeah, that number is forever owned by just one car.
  13. That's the MB-01, isn't it? Unlike on the photo from Tamiya on your photo it looks like the rear wheels fits perfect in the arch. If so I would be interested in that kit. Could you confirm that? Thanks.
  14. Looking cool. Flames always looks great on a car. Can't wait to see it finished. Do you made the masks by yourself or are there any finished masks for it to buy?
  15. Good idea but the 1.0 beadlocks are for 1:24 FMS Scaler. I know what you mean wirh the class 5 Baja Bugs. One day I will build one with a lot of aluminium on the chassis and a shiny sparkling paint job.
  16. Maybe it was just bad luck. The 5mm bar will have its tolerances as the bearings have and the sum of it lead to this. Maybe you could could clamp it in a cordless screwdriver and remove some material with fine grid abrasive paper?
  17. That Golf looks great @technics. Exactly how I would imagine it. Maybe just red. I love your work on the grille.
  18. Went to the not so local hobby shop to buy a low profile servo and a set of 1" bead lock rims and to have a look around. Came home with the parts needed and a M-06 Beetle. Was the last one and for €100 I couldn't leave it there.
  19. In my opinion this is not comparable. TT-02 is a ten years old design, the BT-01 is not even on the market. One is 4WD only the other one could be build to FWD or RWD. Let's see what the price for the BT-01 is in about one or two years.
  20. What would be the price you are willing to pay? Or what is the price for a comparable product from a Tamiya competitor? Including a detailed and licensed body shell, a motor, an ESC and wheels and tires? Bought by a specialized dealer with an actual shop with employees (which wants to be paid), not just a web shop, and including 19% VAT? Imported by a distributor which also have employees?
  21. It's interesting what comes up when you think about your own collection and projects and write down what you have. For me it looks on paper more than on the shelf or bench. This is the current inventory. It's very likely that I will sell some of it next year.
