  1. Love it. Maybe I missed this but what kind of wheel/tyre combo is that?
  2. Today I've managed to finish painting the Audi. Still a lot of work to do and I'm a little bit worried about the huge amount of stickers. But so far I'm pleased with the result.
  3. Nice action shot of your Buggies. It's no fun when the cars didn't work as they should but the location looks like a lot of fun. And the weather couldn't be better as it seems. I am a bit jealous. Here it is currently a permanent mix of rain and snow.
  4. Some parts delivered from Tamico today. Unfortunately are the gold wheelnuts more orange than gold.
  5. Great build thread and great looking buggy! I love the result with the air scoop, the lights and off course the colour. In my opinion better than box art. 👍
  6. Cut the Audi V8 body shell which I've got for my birthday some weeks ago and sanded the edges. Turned out pretty good I think. Maybe tomorrow I will mask it.
  7. Just seen this. Absolutely great looking Grasshopper, if you still can call it a Grasshopper. Seems to be way beyond of it. Cool car. 👍😎
  8. Put a brushless motor in and some new wheels and tires on my shortened DT-02 chassis and give it a go in the backyard. It's stupid fast and due to the short wheelbase it's permanently wheely-ing (don't know if this word exists). Had a lot of fun.
  9. Yes. Just go to the Play Store and search for GPS Speedo. Loads of results. You only need to choose one.
  10. Great looking truck so far. Can't wait to see it finished. 👍
  11. Can't help you either. But I love the look of the second set. The satin finish is lovely.
  12. Maybe you could try some slimmer ball connectors. I myself would by another suitable servo and keep this for another project.
  13. I often use Revell Color Mix or Revell Paint Remover. Works fine.
  14. Not sure about the dampers. Maybe you should add some spacers to them to increase the spring pre-load and therefore the ride height. I don't think the chassis is suitable for offroad because of the open belt where debris will probably accumulate. If you want to try to run it mildly off road, the grass should be very short. And if you put bigger wheels on it, you should also change the pinion. Otherwise you might fry the motor / ESC.
  15. I have also a TA03F and use it from time to time. I have thought about selling it but not because it's of great value. It's more that I don't use it so much. I think for a lightly used TA03F you can get around 100 Euros, more or less. That's the prices which are called on German classified sites. I have paid 50 € for mine and sold on the included radio gear for 30 €. Depending on your description I would keep it and run it. Maybe you can find a spare part to replace the cracked one.
  16. Took my bravery pills and cut the L&L Mondeo body. Overall I'm not impressed with that body. The side panels between the wheel arches are out of shape after cutting (more than 15 mm to the outside compared to the original body) and the moulding lines on the front are too distinctive. I will try to salvage the original body with all the cracks and bends and take the reproduction for running.
  17. Just measured it. It's 4, 5, 5.5 and 7 mm. Just saw on the pictures of the screw driver that Tamiya supplies a PH2 bit for JIS screws. I'm a little bit confused now as most people are recommended to buy JIS screw drivers. Is there a difference between those or are they almost similar?
  18. My Tamiya Ford Escort Mk2! Not even 23 hours after I've ordered it from Tamico. Great service!
  19. Ordered a Ford Escort Mk 2 body today from Tamico as they are finally available in Germany.
  20. Good Evening everyone! A year or something ago I've purchased some 1:8 dampers from Amazon. The dampers are labeled as ZD-Racing and are 120 mm long. I'm looking for some softer springs now but have problems to find some. Almost all online shops only state the cars for which the springs are suitable. The springs I'm looking for are 80 mm long and the diameter is 21 mm ID and 24 mm OD. Does anyone know suitable springs and point me in the right direction? Thanks.
  21. Nice idea, nicely done. I like the look with the body attached. How do you remove the battery?
  22. That's great. I love it!
  23. Just read that Team Durango didn't exist anymore! That make the availability of spare parts at least difficult. Here in Germany are the rest of the parts on clearance sale. I think I will have a look for other makes first. But thank you for the offer.
  24. How do they perform? I'm looking for something 2WD for running in my backyard and I would like to have a Buggy with a good performance. Something that will take corners without too much understeer. Will be driven mainly on grass.
  25. Just had a look at it and I like it.
