  1. If 36 mm would be also suitable, you could use 9804178.
  2. If you look close to this picture from Modellbau Seidel it certainly looks like the stickers are precut. But it's nowhere stated in the description. According to the website this is 9805995.
  3. Not the postman but more or less by chance I found this little guy: I went to the recycling station to get rid of some electrical scrap and when I put itbin the container I saw it. It's marked on the under side as Yonezawa Wave Hunter and rebatched on the body as an Schuco (German toy manufacturer). From the first look its pretty good for an about 40 years old toy (marked with 1981 on the chassis) But when looking twice it got cracks on the bed cover and the horn on the roof and the bull bar is missing. Nevertheless I like it. It is powered by one motors for wach axle and can be switched between 2wd and 4wd b a switch on the bed. Unfortunately I couldn't find the remote. So I have to find a suitable remote or rebuild it with modern electronics. Time will tell...
  4. Can't say anything about the Lancer body but I had a Subaru BRZ from Killerbody. The BRZ body is wider than a Tamiya body. Which makes it necessary to use wheels with a lot of offset.
  5. I love those Goodwood videos on YouTube. My favourite is already some years old. The battle of the Mini against the Alfa Romeo Giulia. I could watch it for hours.
  6. What a nice and ambitious project! For painting from the outside you could use PS paint as a primer and TS paint for finishing. I've didn't tried it yet by myself but read about it several times.
  7. I don't want to stop your joy about this message but every time I see a message saying "please click the link below" or "confirm something" or something like this my inner alert starts to ring. The email address at the end of the message is different to the one stated on the website of Plaza Japan (there's an 'a' missing in japan). Maybe contact them directly over their website? But I hope it's a genuine email and you will get your goods. đź‘Ť
  8. Two great Hornet action pics : @Jimaroid that's a lovely shot with a nice late summer vibe. Love it! @Ferruz : What a great shot. You always make great action shots, but for me this one is outstanding! Perfect picture.
  9. Thank you all for your comments and tips! That's really helpful.
  10. It's very impressive. I would have problems to work on it. Regarding its size the only place would be the dining table.
  11. As I don't have a clip tool I would take a needle-nose plier and press gently from the open side of the clip. You maybe want to do this in a bag as those clips accelerate enormous.
  12. Thank you. The picture without the body shows the real, enormous size of the car. All the tiny electronics. And you're right, it looks amazing. Where do you run it?
  13. As many of you I don't like masking body shells for painting. This leads to a stack of unfinished projects as painting still needs to be done. But every now and then I'm in the mood of doing some masking (even if it's gone as fast as it came) and this sunday morning I was in the mood to mask the canopy of my Thunder Dragon body. Easy job, nothing really special. Washed the shell with warm soapy water and dried it thoroughly. Then I thought "when I wear gloves there will be no fingerprints or something else after masking on the shell". But masking with gloves is a pain for me and so they were thrown away after a few seconds. So now my question: What do you do after masking to degrease the body and remove residues of masking tape? I can't wash it again with soapy water as it would also remove the masking tape. Is Tamiya Polycarbonate Cleaner a good solution or does it leave a film on the shell? What about silicone remover from automotive painting systems? Is it a bad idea for polycarbonate bodies? Thanks for your tips.
  14. I love your MCD rally car @bRIBEGuy. Would you show us a picture of it without the body shell?
  15. No need to feel that way. Sometimes you can stare at your own work forever and you won't find anything wrong.
  16. Do I see it right, that the body is currently uncut? It looks like the cracked part need to be cut away. Those areas of the body are usually pretty thin.
  17. Funnily no one else got something in the mail since my last post. Or at least doesn't post it. So here is what the postman brought today.: Bought over a classified website it was a real bargain for 160€ posted, including the alloy diff nut.
  18. A Thunder Dragon body set for my TD4. And three sets of Voltec Fighter front wheels. I don't really need them currently but they were cheap (1€ per set) and someday I will use them. Same for the sticker sheet. It was only 5€ and for stickers I think it's better to have them in stock for possible projects.
  19. That's very sad. I don't know what to say. You and your inspirational work will be missed.
  20. Nothing Tamiya related but the postman brought me this little guy... It's such a lovely looking little truck with portals, 2-speed transmission and so on. Unfortunately it's not a kit. But I couldn't resist.
  21. Hi and welcome to the forum! For me it looks like a Grasshopper 2 chassis as the front of the chassis tub is round shaped like the GH2 body. The GH1 chassis has a peaked front on the chassis tub to correspond to the body.
  22. The Lunchbox and the Grasshopper 1. I already have a Wild Dagger based Monster Truck for me and a Stampede for my daughter, so there is no need for an additional Monster Truck especially for one with let me say 'alternative handling'. But I love the look of it and every now and then I want to buy one. Almost same fot the Grasshopper 1: I've owned a re-re Grasshopper 2 when it came back. Still love the look of it but the bouncing behavior, even with oil shocks, is something I don't like. So I sold it only a few days later. That's the reason I've never got a GH1. Maybe when it comes back as the black edition. But then just for display purpose.
  23. I don’t have a strong FOMO sense although I permanently missing out something RC related. I always wanted the Porsche 911 GT2 and when I though I buy one it was gone. On this one I'm pretty sure it will come back, so I wait patiently until it will be announced. Another one is the CC-01 in general. It seems that this chassis is currently disappearing from the market. There are only some left here in Germany which makes me wonder if I should buy one only to have it even if I don't like the supplied body. Same with the XV-01: I can have the Lancia Delta currently for around 200€ which is a lot cheaper than some month ago. Not sure if I should buy one. And while I'm thinking about it they are all gone. It's not a big problem for me, the time period that I'm annoyed or sad about it is rather short and something else will surely pop up which sparks my interest. I guess FOMO and not to be decisive when it comes to RC is not a good match.
  24. Congratulations for your win. Nice looking Audi!
