  1. I think the reason for your problem is the antenna of your receiver. On the pic of your receiver it looks like the end is cut. According to the Traxxas manual this cause loss of radio range.
  2. That's seems to be a very good stealth mount for your awesome truck. 3D printers have brought so much more, or at least, easier possibilities to this hobby. At least when you are able to use it (which I'm not).
  3. Depending on how close you can get with the Tamiya colour mix you can buy the original colour as spray can or touch up pen.
  4. Out of curiosity I've just searched the biggest second hand website here in Germany. There are some for sale but prices are mostly high. If you are interested have a look on www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de. The main problem would be to ship it to the US as this website is mainly for local trading.
  5. That's a cool buggy and a nice idea of brushless convertion. With a powerfull outrunner the weight should be no problem. Do you already have a car for your project or do you searching for one?
  6. This is a really nice collection of Cross Country's. When I see your nicely new build Defender I really want that body for my MST. I understand your decision with the spare wheel, it's a point where I already was and I've made the same decision as you. I think it's looking good on your Defender. By the way, the license plate is from the last ever build Defender.
  7. I've read several times that Shoo Goo will help with non-sticking stickers. But up to now I've didn't try this by myself.
  8. This is an issue I also have with a 7.2 V NiMh battery. After a few minutes of running the steering starts to interrupt. Please let us know if the receiver battery helps.
  9. I don't know how to strip the plate finish from the body but I wouldn't do it anyway. I would buy a spare body and put the original body in the storage.
  10. Nice release. That time of DTM was awesome. A DTM Opel Omega Evo 500 would be cool also.
  11. Did you set the throttle end points for the new ESC?
  12. Tamiya has no low voltage cut off for LiPo batteries. As far as I know the low voltage cut off is for 6.6 V Li-Fe batteries. The cut off is 2.5 V for each cell which is too less for LiPo. It's better to use a LiPo alarm.
  13. Thank you. I will check before purchasing.
  14. Lovely Blitzer Beetle. Especially the rear window louvres and the colour choice. On the first picture it looks like the car squints to the camera.
  15. Hi! I have an older Losi LSR-3000 Transmitter which I would like to reactivate as a "guest transmitter". As the transmitter use DSM modulation I have searched for DSM receivers and couldn't find any but a lot of DSM2 receiver. Here's my question to the TX/RX experts: Is a DSM2 receiver compatible to a DSM receiver? And if so are there any limitations regarding brands or anything else? Thank you for your help.
  16. Thank you for this detail conversion description, the result is looking really good. Does this conversion have any effect on the track width?
  17. I am also. I've swaped the motor today and put in a Dirt Tuned 27 T. I've also re-programmed the ESC. Now it's running pretty good. Motor is still getting very warm but not so hot as the 12 T. Maybe I will put in a 20 or 19 t pinion. Thanks for your help.
  18. Run the Dirt Trasher in the backyard until it lost a step screw for one of the rear damper. Lot of fun.
  19. Thank you. I will order a 16 T pinion. Meanwhile I will change the motor. What do you think is the minimum of turns for a 21 T pinion?
  20. Currently my favourite runner is my Bullhead with Chevy body, servo on axle mod and some cheap oil shocks. Perfect for running and jumping in my backyard.
  21. Thermal problems! Finally I've managed to replace the broken steering horn. After that I've took the Dirt Trasher for a little spin in the backyard. Wasn't a long run, maybe five minutes. Then the car was very slow. I thought it would be the LiPo cut-off as I wasn't sure about the charge state. But after removing the body shell I already noticed that the whole car was warm. The LiPo was hand warm, motor and ESC were very hot. What could be the reason for this? Is it the gearing of the car? I've installed a 21 T pinion. Motor is a 12 turns brushed from Losi also the ESC. The LiPo is 2S. Or is there too less cooling due to the close fitting body? Was a warm day (28° C) today. Thank you.
  22. Thank you. Didn't found that during my Google search.
  23. Good evening, I need some help with a not RC related part. As title says I'm trying to identify a Momo steering wheel. The steering wheel has a diameter of 350 mm and is made of aluminium with black leather. It has Momo engraved on the front and Made in Italy and M 20340 (I would say) stamped on the back side. I've made some internet research but didn't came to a result. So here's my question: Can someone tell my how old this wheel is? I Don't need a precise date or year, more like it's from the seventies or eighties or whatever. I have read that this steering wheel was produced over a longer period and I think the production date is an important factor for the value of it. I've bought it about 17 years ago for a 1976 Ford Escort with a suitable hub which is still mounted and always thought it was vintage. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  24. Replaced one broken steering knuckle on my Bullhead. And now I go for spin with it in my backyard.
