  1. Setting reverse to active is pretty easy, yes.

Put a battery in the car, and turn it on while holding the ESC setup button down.

Keep an eye on the ESC light, and let go of the button when the light is shining red.

Reverse should now be activated. :)

If you want to turn it off again, repeat the procedure - each time you do it, you toggle reverse on or off.

will ty that at the weekend, shall I stick with 19t gear aswell
  2. If you really want to upgrade though, the hardened steel turnbuckle set for the DF-02 fits the DF-01 rather well, with the addition of Tamiya's reinforced ball cups on the steering tierods. This is what I run on mine and it gives no trouble at all.20140531_183148_zpsmxgz45ld.jpg

what's the best way of checking and adjusting the tracking when fitted,
  3. I use Tamiya TBLE-02 ESCs coupled to Speed Passion 13.5t sensored motors in my brushless cars. Although the TBLE-02 is not the easiest ESC to set up, it works nicely once sorted.

can I use this motor with this. Passion brushless 13.5r
  4. Basically, you take it into a dark room so that you can see the LED change colour, then poke the setup button with a hard pokey tool at the appropriate time to select the mode you want. You can switch it between brushed and brushless mode, switch reverse on and off, activate and deactivate the LVC, etc.

If you have one handy, we can walk you through the setup if you like.

I'll get one then , and I will let you know, cheers

next question is, how do you set it up, not got a clue, sorryyyyyyy
  6. You could stay with NiMH if you wanted to. That is what I run in my cars, both brushed and brushless.

The only caveat is that to do so, you'd need an ESC with a NiMH mode. Some brushless ESCs expect LiPo power, and when they don't receive it, they shut down thinking that there is a problem.

okay, didn't know that, got any good ideas for motor and esc combo. And where to get it from
  7. What radio gear are you using? If you are using a 2.4GHz set, this might well indicate a problem, but if you are running a 27MHz set, it is not unexpected due to the amount of interference on the band (and an excellent reason to upgrade to 2.4GHz).

2.4ghz fitted . Runs like a dream now, cheers guys
