How's your project going? I am bogged down waiting for parts but still excited to keep going.

I'm sorry but I do not have any of those parts-you missed me by about a week as I parted out the rest of the Scorpion bits that I had.

I really appreciate the info here. I will check out the Frog axles. From my bin, I have TT-01's will not be long enough and Clods but they are too long and will need to be shortened. The Frog solution looks closest although I might still need to shorten (?) as I want to use 1.5 wheels and need to bring the tires in a bit. This was helpful-Thanks!

I have been using artist's tape made by Chartpak. It comes in rolls, which are easy to handle. It also comes in a flexible (crepe) form that has a matt finish. Here's one of many links: http://www.suppliesnet.com/Graphic-Tapes-QC.htm (no affiliation)

DJ Thanks-I was afraid of that. I already have the M3 Schnitzer and would love to do another BMW. All othe the other bodies out there are "just not right" from my standpoint. I guess I'll keep cruising eBay. Regarding the double posts-sure-no problem-Sorry-

E30 or E36

Hello- Fairly new to the site-it's been great so far!!! Anyway-I have been searching for a 318 body with no luck and I am in the process of building a Bimmer street car. Are there any other makers out there doing a fairly correct version of the older 3-series body style? I'll take 2Door or 4Door. Thanks! Franklin

Jim- Sorry to hear that-I have had a much different experience with it on different shells as well-but I can see it's not a fix for all materials.

Get a plastic tub and soak the body in heavy duty auto brake fluid for a day or two. Paint will come off and/or become soft encough to remove with a toothbrush. When done, you can strain and pour the fluid into a jug to store for future use.
