  1. I have an opportunity to pick up a really nice clean Avante 2001 runner. I notice they are not as popular? Any reason for that? I think I'll buy it none the less to ease myself into this upper echelon of my childhood!!!
  2. Cheers I'll check it out
  3. Thanks but can you expand on this, by taller do you effectively mean thinner spacers?
  4. Was the black upgraded? Is it better than the 2011 rere?
  5. Tried all of this. Just hooked up a new receiver and radio and same result.
  6. Hi, I am trying to set up a TBLE-02S and I have a motor, receiver and transmitter that I know all work. It seems the ESC won't power the receiver. The receiver won't light up at all and now the ESC has a burning smell. Have I toasted it and if so why? The green light on the ESC is still flashing and when I hold down the set button it runs thru the green/orange/red ok but when I release on the red it flashes green again. any thoughts? Thanks
  7. I did but the email bounced back, just tried it again and seemed to go thru.
  8. Really? Why?
  9. Hi, looking at stepping up my collection and adding a vintage Vanquish or Avante. My collection is based around buggies with drivers in them (don't ask) and these two buggies seem to be the top of the pack? I'm thinking of investing in a nib kit ($$$😁🔫$$$) so want to make the right call. I know what most of you will say..."buy both" but don't think that's viable at this point in time. Or, dare I say it, should I be considering a re release Avante? I do like to drive my buggies. Thoughts?
  10. nice investigation work! I'm assuming then that the consensus is that the vintage wing mount style looks better and is the way to go? I can't even imagine how it would look to screw direct to the body but I can't imagine it would be look any good!! I'll do some googling to see if I can find an example. In the meantime I'll keep an eye out for a wing mount kit. Does anyone think a Egress mount might fit?
  11. I have a wing and car, no mounts. 😢 I'm thinking of fabricating one, doesn't look too difficult but if anyone knows where to get one give me the heads up!!!
  12. Awesome thanks I'll look into it.
  13. Anyone know how to get one uploaded?
  14. Found this image, where would I get a wing mount like this. I don't mind the look?
  15. Also did this black and silver custom job as a runner but insold it.
  16. Definitely interested in a B9! I had a used one on another bigwig but at that stage this was mint so wanted a new one. No she's on the road keen to get this part on. Not sure about the springs? I put spacers in but no good can you get stiffer ones?
  17. Call me crazy, but I painstakingly collected every new old stock part to fully build a new BigWig (still hunting a B9 part). It's all built (I'm now broke) and had her maiden drive last night. Before I snapped the front left arm (obviously over tightened) it was sitting on its *** once loaded up with motor and battery, the shocks are way to soft and the spring not hard enough to lift it back up. Any ideas/upgrades for these keeping in mind I want to keep it as original as possible?
  18. Hi, I have a vintage thundershot and just sourced a rear wing. I like it without but thought I'd try it out and see how it looks. However I don't have any wing mounts. Did any other models have a similar I could source? Could you use say an egress mount? Or any tricks to fashion one up?
  19. I was thinking egress wheels, would they be ok?
  20. Hey guys, I collect vintage but purchased a Rere Hotshot to thrash around. I have completely fallen in love with this buggy and want to upgrade it to smash everything else. I've done the norms, technigold, ball bearings. Any other tips? Was thinking upgrading the wheels tires to something more updated?
