I tried it but the balls seemed to be the wrong size. Some others mentioned this within this forum but I couldn't get it to wok. Perhaps others had more luck? Soldering worked fine though. Metro hobbies sending me a new wing BTW. They appologised and sent one free of charge! Now that's service!!! Onya Metro!

Well it was 87183, says it's for use with polycarbonate. Also the lexan was stuffed before I painted it.
-
I cleaned it with warm soapy water, rinsed and air dried as I've always done. I did the first run of black PC paint and left to dry. I had a bit of bleed under the mask so used a little bit of tamiya paint remover. This was all fine. However I noticed the finish of the lexan was well below par before I painted. It just didn't look right. Lumpy uneven finish. It had a heap of hairline cracks in it after it dried, and when I went to paint the red, I bent the lexan slightly and it split in about 10 different spots. To see what would happen I gave it a little twist and pop, the thing shattered.

Well now I'm freekn annoyed. as previously mentioned my rear wing lexan was disgusting. Anyway, I painted it nonetheless. Just went to mount it on my buggy and it completely disintegrated! To the point where I threw it into the fire out of frustration. So no photo sorry. has anyone else experienced this??? is there a aftermarket option. so annoyed!!!!

Well I'm confused....

Hi All, purchased a vintage Dynatech 02H motor and think it will look great in my Egress ReRe. Can any of the Tamiya ESC handle this? Perhaps a TEU-302BK?
-
I'm in Australia, it appears they are US only! Huff!!!

Can someone please reveal the secret of where in the world (literally) you can get these. My green machine kits has arrived but want to get some hi-caps bug everyone is "out of stock".
-
Wow, this build...its definitely different. Was anyone else disappointed with the finish of the lexan rear wing or did I just get a dud? There was no protective film and it's quite bubbly. In fact if looks like it's been cooked in the microwave! The mask lifted and I got super bleed from the black paint. Waiting for a bottle of this magic tamiya paint remover everyone bangs on about. Hopefully that will clean it up.

Strange question in know, but is there super glue in the kit, says there is but I don't seem to have any. Makes my decision not to buy some when I was staring at it in the market tonight quite annoying!

Nice, only up to step 5 in my build. No steering issue yet😬😬 did Schumacher align with a motor company back in the day?
-
Mine arrived, metro hobbies came through. Any consensus on a nice brushed motor? I want it to run but mainly shelf. Kinda want the vintage feel. Not lipo / brushless.
-
Yep. It's sorted now...it's sitting on my shelf!!! Also got my avante ordered from rcmart. Thanks Bomba1

I've purchased from Metro before typically they've been good however have let me down on tamiya lately. Waited forever for a top force then pulled the pin. They delivered on my CAT though. So haven't written them off.

I'll give them a try perhaps

Thanks for the heads up, looks like it's sold! **** that would have been perfect!!!

This was super simple, just purchased a sheet of 6mm ply and two different widths of pine. Couple of screws and it bent super easy.
-
Thanks, might try the screw idea. Not at lipo stage yet.
-
Just checked them out on youtube. Looks great but will be a $80 -100 fix for me in Australia with postage. That's half the cost of my Hornet!!!! i might have a play and see what I can come up with!
-
What's that? I'll look into it.

Any tips for improving the fixing of the battery cover on my hornet? Every time I drive it I spend half the time looking for the cover that falls off. So annoying, just wondering if there's a simple solution that fixes this but still allows reasonable battery access?
