  1. So I noticed a fair few UK websites saying stock arrival for the 30th April - 1st May Has anyone benefited from this yet?
  2. Does the transmitter have either EPA (End point adjustment) which allows you to reduce the output of channels from 100% to more or less - this can sometimes confuse the Tamiya ESCs if adjusted setting up the min/max settings on the ESC. You might what to check that you have the TBLE-02s ESC in the right mode to I assume you have a Brushed motor (with just two wires). It can be easy to put it into Brushless mode by mistake and the LED is difficult to differentiate between orange and red sometimes. Also is there a throttle hold function on the Transmitter (usually used for petrol / glow fuel engines) but if the throttle hold function is set to 0% and turned on the stick or trigger for the throttle will have no effect - so check this. The other thing you could try is connecting the battery directly to the motor to test if it is working - but perhaps remove the wheels first as if it is working it will go straight to full throttle. exact model details of the transmitter and receiver would be helpful if supplied as others on here might have experience of them. This might be relevant too: Tble 02s quickly flashing green and red. - All things electric... - Tamiyaclub.com
  3. Weird - so where is my stuff? it just says 'packing' on their website. - did you get charged extra when they came into the UK? edited to add - now been shipped - took them 6 days to pack it!
  4. What sort of ESC are you using (Tamiya kit supplied TBLE02s)? What sort of RC equipment are you using is there a throttle hold or EPA adjustment?
  5. I had ordered some Tamiya 53791's from RCJAZ they seem to take ages to actually send the package...
  6. Ahh out of stock of rears at RC mart too now! Got some fronts on the way from somewhere else - would really like the side plates but I don't think it's possible - much like my first CR-01 this one is getting expensive - but other than the body not has ever broken on it - so it lasts. cheers
  7. Did you manage to find the side plates? I am looking for some too (preferably in the UK) - I would like the bent lower front and rear arms too 54107 (rear) and 54106 (front) I have some third parts aluminium servo beds on the way cheers
  8. Well I was considering it as with all the costs added up it is about the same as what I would pay in the UK. I am just waiting to hear whether I can get all the parts in the UK.
  9. Cheers but the build is so much part of it for me ! Seems strange that it has a separate metal gearset when these are included anyway.
  10. Hmm, just received notification from Modelsport that some Tamiya CVA shocks that were on back order are now on there way - does this mean that other things are going to start appearing soon?
  11. thanks, i had a quick look - their other parts are very thin on the ground - so i am waiting to hear from Fusion here in the UK which might well have pretty much everything i am looking for. Would be nice to have the aluminium servo beds which appear to be very elusive - as others have found recently.
  12. Any of the cr-01 parts still available- can't see the picture? I am contemplating building a second cr-01 and might need some bits
  13. Actually not much at all in the final price, just waiting to here parts availability from fusion.
  14. Yes you should use an alarm or you could do this : If you are handy with a soldering iron. You will of course need a charger that is lipo balance capable.
  15. Perhaps plug a servo into the esc channel on the rx a nd see it it does the same funny thing? Also is the aerial okay on both tx and rx? If you are using 2.4g radio most are very sensitive to the aerial being damaged. I had the last 2cm of one of my rx's cut off and the range was next to usless, until I stripped back the same length of exposed core and the rx aerial.
  16. ohhh i do like the original Range Rover body - but a bit pricy (keeping in mind the state of my Jeep Shell after the kids have played with it!) 1 10 Car Body Shell Assembly for Land Range Rover Traxxas Trx4 Axial Scx10 Truck for sale online | eBay
  17. to be fair i need to do the maths on the other parts i would like as bearings are 30 quid and i am unsure if there any other differences between the kits.
  18. ahh that is the rock socker - so no bearings and it isn't in stock - RCJaz have the Land Cruiser 40 at £219 (and a bunch of other bits I would like.....).
  19. They have a good price for a CR-01 ATM and I was wondering what it will cost in all to the UK. they claim: Do the import duty, tax or VAT included in the listed price? No. Customers are solely responsible for all import duties, import taxes and VAT. These are not included in the cost of shipping or handling of your order. Please check with your local customs agency for details on estimated costs. In addition, Customs, duty, and taxes are non-refundable, so if you refuse a shipment because of unexpected import fees, -the cost of the original shipping, -10% cancellation fee and -any return shipping charges will not be refunded. So if the order is £390.92 + £112.50 for shipping I assume I will have to pay 20% VAT and 2.5% Customs fee on top - am I correct? (£113.26 total: £616.69) or will i get stung for more?
  20. I am pretty sure the above are all the same assuming you use metal outdrives on all the vehicles. i have a Wild Dagger and a tt-02b. the wild dagger goes through the universals at a great rate (they tend to snap at the wheel end right at the ball) this is probably accentuated by the fact i have huge heavy tyres on it (see my showroom pic of the wild dagger i have been searching for a new shell too, same as sand shaker). GPM do sets of these WD1270s i think but cannot find a source for them anywhere at the moment in the UK any suggestions ? cheers G
  21. hmm could be an option thanks, trouble is there is a distinct lack of anything atm....
  22. Hi I Would like a new hard body for my CR-01 I have the lexan 75 series land cruiser and the Jeep wrangler - whose wheelbase is a little short. So a 288mm wheelbase would be good with hard body Any suggestions?
  23. All in the title really I need a 380 brushed motor capable of handling lipo 3s. There is a tamiya one 54393 but specs say 6 to 7.2v ...
  24. Hmm interesting - I took the wheels off the car and plugged in a LV alarm that displays total voltage and each cell and it did seem to cut off at the right voltage for me. - I need to convert my son's GF-01 as well.
  25. Yes great guide, I have a Couple of the CR3P units - mainly for my sons to use - each came with two RXs which claim to be water resistant - I subsequently ordered a bunch of the above FS-GR3E's which all seem to work okay with the CR3P units as well as the two Flysky FSi6 TXs i have which is handy. Regarding water resistance i assume the Absima ones have been sprayed with something - but with what - and can I spray the FS-GR3E's with something?
