4. Built the diff and forced in Traxxas 500k weight diff oil (more paste in consistency, but it does pour if you have the patience!)
5. Fitted bearings into the gearbox with small amount of Tamiya ceramic grease, I think a little goes along way – too much makes a mess.

3.Progress being made now. Tapped the holes for the GPM lower suspension mount (orange), for the front ones I actually extend the hole right through the top of the chassis to allow for longer bolts to be fitted, again I don’t think nuts on the end will be required. Also fitted the GPM lower front arms and used shims to reduce slop a fair amount. GPM c-hubs fitted and again shimmed between c-hub and Lower arms. Also I had to shim the Steering axles on the c-hubs but to as much as I though as they flex very easily when doing up the bolt. Also fitted the Tamiya turn buckle upper arms with ball joints.

Fitted the GPM servo bracket / holder around the Savox servo and attached the high torque servo saver with the Tamiya DT-03 turnbukle ends and GPM Steel turn buckles. I thought that the turnbuckles maybe too long even at there shortest but not it’s built I have realized that they are fine and allow enough toe out if required, I think I prefer these to the Tamiya ones as they are more easily adjusted.

1. Joined the two parts of the chassis together and attached the GPM shock tower brackets. I was going to bolt the chassis together – however the recess in the side of the chassis is not big enough for M3 nyloc nuts to fit so I just tapped the hole instead – can’t imagine there is a huge about of force pulling it apart so it should be fine. Also I tapped holes for the shock tower bracket – I might put longer bolts in the top holes later so I can put nyloc nuts on but again I don’t think it will be required.

Only used them once so far but very speedy - was wondering whether you could mix and match - great that you can. cheer . G

I bought a Sky RC balancer - which just about carries by Blitzer Beetle wheels / tyres with Schumacher Vee2 & 4 truck tyres - you need to be careful as the magnets are not that strong and the wheel will fall off!
Wow - what a difference the balanced wheels make - before the rear arms might move as much as 1 cm up and down under full throttle with a 13.5 turn motor - now they barely move - (although the tyres appear to be quite buckled side to side) I have no figures to backup the results but it seems to handle better and acceleration seems to have improved a little. now I have a whole load of other models to do!
I bought some Dynamite wheel balancing tape which is just a reel of lead with sticky tape on one side - will be cheaper to find a source of thin lead and a reel of double sided tape in the future.

Yes diagonal opposite - I re-fitted again yesterday and with the slop it seems to mesh better - but still very noisy.... - need to find a place in the UK to buy the Yeah racing one I think

ahh didn't realise there where two sorts. What I'm after is a finer thread that will stand up to being removed and replaced more often - or rather the plastic it screws into will last longer!

Meant to say these are BA5 3x10mm BA4 3x12mm and BA3 3x15mm etc. is there a specific upgrade kit etc.?

does look like I will need to get the yeah tt-02-013bu - annoying that the Tamiya Spec stuff does not work... anyone know where you can get yeah stuff in the UK?

19 seems to be the only option - maybe they are just noisy full stop - but the TT-02B I have with the 68t high speed setup is quieter - although currently uses aluminium pinion - I guess 64t to 29t steel is noisy.

yes just tried it!!!! - even with the little play before fully tightening it is too tight.

Well I have tried it in both planes. : this is how the instructions seem to suggest it should be for 64 / 29 which is not right as they don't even touch!

Yes I deed look at that - and the suggested option H if I remember correctly was too much of a loose fit - can't remember what it is currently on - will check when I get home. other as you suggest the - yeah racing one might be the only option.

I have a F430 body already painted to from an earlier TT02R build. the car is pretty fast with this brushless setup and handles quite well so far - run only of block paving atm. there is quite a noise from the pinion and spur though.

6. Fitted Speed Passion 13.5t motor with Tamiya 17t steel pinion. Mounted GPM lower rear arms again shimmed to reduce slop.
7. Added GPM rear hubs (again shimmed) along with Tamiya Steel gearbox outdrives and drive shafts connected to hub end shafts. I used half a piece of Tamiya Urethane bushing at each end of the drive shaft to reduce slop. Also, last part of the Turnbuckle kit fitted in place of the standard upper rear arms.
