  1. @jonboy1 did your M03 / M04 spacer take your chassis to 239mm? If so, is it going spare...? I've had a terrible idea...
  2. I've not built an M06 as I skipped it after my M03, M04 and M05-RA. I went straight for the M-08R and it has been a great build so far (I'm about half way through) and I've really enjoyed it. So much so that I have a little buyers remorse with my yet unbuilt MB-01 - a more basic chassis with poor steering that the Abarth body doesn't quite sit on properly
  3. This gorgeous beast from @Busdriver Thank you, Sir!
  4. Sorry to hear about the work woes but hopefully it will work out better in the long run. The truck is coming along really well and you've done as much as you can with what you have. It will be a shame if you have to put it on pause but it is a pretty big project and you've shown before that it is worth putting the preparation into the other events to make them worthwhile.
  5. Mmmm...breakfast shed.... Sorry, can't help on pinion sizes!
  6. Empty motor (and other small) boxes go in the empty kit boxes
  7. Would they be the hard-to-obtain* 60D Super Grips? 53254? Or are there others? *Actually, TTP has them just now, they are just quite pricey.
  8. You have my sympathy. I need to organise this lot when it gets a new home in March. I'm not looking forward to sorting the boxes though it would be nice to have some cars out on display (if they were finished!).
  9. I like the look of your bright red Europa @Nick-W. I took like the body, I've a couple of old Matchbox ones in need of restoration. The M06 has never appealed to me but maybe that body set over and M04, hmm..... I'd leave it without the wing too. What are those wheels/ tyres? I can't quite make them out in the photo. Are they slicks? Are they good on tarmac?
  10. That's a very nice M04 you found there. I'm rather partial to them myself but haven't got one with quite as many hop-ups as that. Looking forward to seeing the Boxster body on it.
  11. Made from lolly sticks? That's Fab!
  12. That battery looks pretty tight in there and I'm guessing it will be a LiFe, uncommon outside Japan. It will be interesting to see what else fits....
  13. Both good (and available) options but I popped it in the airfryer.
  14. You're welcome The name isn't linked to my fondness for toasted sarnies - but it should be!
  15. I like the way you have set out to have a display collection @Kpowell911 and that collection could give rise to serious shelf envy! I bought some boltless racking for my cars but my collection never looked that good! Some inspiration for when my cars get their new home in March.
  16. You're right, I wasn't paying close enough attention - I have adjusted my previous post accordingly. What can I say? I was distracted by my sourdough toasted cheese sandwich. The crumbs get everywhere. They don't have a web store so you email them if you want parts, from what I can see (I've never purchased from them). The main web page does seem to have an issue!
  17. Arf, arf, arf, arf (that's meant to be a seal noise, honest) A machine of this standard needs some more carbon? Fibre-Lyte M03 parts They aren't Tamiya parts though so outside the remit?
  18. Your time was well spent, look gorgeous.
  19. A couple of low profile servos for my M-08R and MB-01. The M-08R probably deserves the Savox I have squirreled away somewhere for my TD4 but it is in storage and I'm hoping to get to this stage of the M chassis build in a couple of weeks.
  20. Today I retrieved my RC tools from storage and spent a little time advancing my M-08R build. The next step requires some holes to be made so I'll leave that until next time.
  21. Here are a few more pics snatched from TamiyaUSA's insta feed.
  22. I have certainly suffered under the weight of unfinished projects. I have a list that is, well, too long. I took a bit of a break from the hobby after I bought an MB-01 when it came out. For the first time, I had a little buyers remorse. I also realised that don't have enough time to complete everything I have accumulated over the past nine (?) years. Or space to keep / display it into way that I'd like. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a collector / hoarder and find it hard to let things go. But I'm going to try. Sometimes chasing the postage deal doesn't help. Put in a smallish order, take the hit on the postage. Work through the delivery and that takes enough time to build up funds for the next one!
  23. I just might have to get one for my Dad, he's a real penguin fan since he saw Happy Feet!
