To me RC cars are like real cars and are meant to be driven.

I have an optima mid that I break and fix all the time. Fun Hobby.

My daily driver is a 98 Boxster if I ever can upgrade to a 911 I will drive the heck out of it.

If I ever get a 911 I will be driving it like I stole it

spent the last two weeks machining 4 more rims for my LandFreeder. The fifth and first one I did, will be the spare. Next I'll try machining a set of wheel hubs.

I still have the machine a lip or edge at the back of the rim as its rubs against the hub if I tighten the wheel nut too much

No worries mate. They're of no use to me now so just buy me a pint some time 🤪😁, plus I know what it's like having young kids waiting for stuff. Just pm your address/details and I'll stick them in the post tomorrow 👍

How nice is that well done that man 👍

Best Part: Imagining it to be 1:1.  Sometimes I forget that these are miniatures of real things.  I treat it like just another form of entertainment like a camera or something.  But I still remember how exciting it was to imagine that my Porsche 956 and Grasshopper were real cars back in 1987.  I still try not to forget the wonder of a car running in a world where everything is 10 times bigger.

Worse Part:  Needing a room for the fleet.  My wife is not a fan of all the decoration I do around the house with gears and tires.  She wants me to be "normal."  Not if I can help it!

I have the same problem we are normal it's our wives that are not normal,I see no problem sitting at the dining table eating tea with a slightly disassembled buggy there aswell 😁

  5. I watch a lot of buggies on YouTube and what people put on here running there buggies off road and often think some of the stones and rocks they go over is far to big, no wonder things break on them,I know they are built for it but there's no way i would use mine on some of the terrains I've seen being used, I'll get off my soap box now and go and sit back in the corner of the room 🤨

I've been running a 2s Gens Ace hard pack (138mm x 46mm x 24mm) in my ReRe SRB for some time with no issues after shuffling thing around in the clear box.

I put the servo on the outside with some help from my LHS using A Hitec mighty mini HS-225MG, servo posts, and Losi linkage, (a thin bit of clear plastic was used to close off the front of the clear box) and a bit of Velcro to stop the battery sliding around.

All depends on how original you want to keep it.

I had a six cell NiMH stick pack for a while but once it died I switched to the LiPo. Just be aware that the LiPo gives you a bit more poke and could be a bit hard on original vintage parts.

    With the Stick pack,

    With the LiPo,

    LiPo and LiPo compatible ESC,

The wheels get changed between shelf and running duties as does the body.

I like the steering mod I've been trying to do mine, I've tried many ways but never thought of putting the servo that way 👍

Yes I have effectively "belted" tires before with tape, I even have some special schumacher belting tape but it does add a lot of weight to the wheels and doesn t always some the problem completly.

@ploots : Are you using buggy rims ? If so  I don t think you ll find an onroad tire that won t balloon. Your best bet is To belt the tire from the inside with special tape. Or move to touring car rims and  tires.

I am using buggy rims i guess I could try the touring car rims I never thought of that thanks
