I don't bid very often I prefer buy it now but when I have bid I usually put an odd price in like £40.53 as people tend to bid to the £40 or £40.50 the odd pence has often won

I'm after another tt02 for a fast rally car aswell, the Audi quattro drifter I bought I've put road tyres on it and it's great fun,I've got a new mk1 escort body but just need a chassis now to build but can I find one that's not stupid money no chance the search goes on

My postie brought me a box from l&l models which was a mk1 escort body, then DPD turned up with a box from motorsport with 2 servos 2 hobbywing 1060 speed controllers and a 2s Lipo, now I just need to get a tt02 chassis to build a mk1 escort rally car

I totally agree with you on the power i tried a lipo the other day for the first time,it's an old 2s and I was blown away by it, I'm now ordering some new ones for myself
I'm glad you asked the question about storage or discharge as my charger has the same I just set it to storage and hoped for the best

L&L models already do some
Yes I know they do some rs style wheels aswell but there out of stock, its then deciding which chassis to use, the tt02 is what's recommended but ground clearance is not so good with them, so was thinking if they release the mk1 on the mf01x chassis it might have better clearance

Your other option is the TT-01 / TT-02 chassis, which seems to me Tamiya's goto chassis now. There are a ton of models with this chassis so parts should be a plenty, certainly lots of hop-ups and it uses more modern plastics.
I've got a tt02 but the ground clearance is not great for light off road use unless there's a way the ride height could be increased
-
I've got a rising storm that I use regular,I put a brushless combo in it earlier this year and it's great,at the weekend I tried a 2s Lipo and wow I can't believe the difference a lipo makes
-
Thanks for the link whats the TA01/02 chassis like, this car will be run fairly regular but not abused
Thanks

Looking very nice 👍 I'll send you my sandscorcher body for you to paint for me 😁

Hi all
I recently bought a tt02d off a fellow tc member,it has an Audi coupe body which I love as I always wanted a 1.1version but never had one, my plan was get a mk1 escort body and rs wheels for it as that's what I did have and will be getting a 1.1 again in the next couple of years, I'm now wondering if there's another chassis I could put the body on that has a bit more ground clearance than the tt02 as it will be run off road aswell
Thanks Jeff

I never realised there was a club at brookthorpe that's only a couple of miles away from me, you learn something new every day

It works!
They learn real quick, posted a vid in another thread, of my mates lad, who started beating me at 5 or 6, now 9 ,he's one of the quickest in Scotland! (Using a similar way, of ,if you don't crash, I'll make the car quicker)
I'm going to try this for myself I think it might improve my driving 😁

What vehicle is Tamiya?
in General discussions
Posted
I was born in early 70s my first tamiya I saw running was a box art sandscorcher when they first came out, he let me have a go on it and I knew then that I loved rc
My first rc was a second hand holiday buggy in the very early 80s then a year or so later i got a brand new ford ranger, for me I think tamiya is the sandscorcher
