  1. As we are all dealing with world events, my 13 year old son asked for and i purchased a super shot. I always wanted one when i was his age and i'm looking forward to this adventure. As i'm sure so many of you have kids im sure you will understand my apprehension as far as " i am not building this kit FOR YOU' we can do it together and i will help and advise. Id love some advise as far as anything i need to know in the build and any hop ups to the SUPER SHOT i really should pick up before the kit arrives. thnaks

  2. hey guys, so i  finished box building my new TOP FORCE. body will wait until it is up and running. Although colors are picked for the shell. Anyway, kit came with a 540 silver can. This is my first TOP FORCE. Id like input on a motor ESC setup. I dont need a 90 mph car. but, would love a solid combo to put in the kit. Im sure somewhere this question has been asked a hundred times. Thanks for you input and knowledge.I dont lan to beat the car but will def run it over at our sand pit 5 min from my house. Speed is good, torque is good, ive never run brushless as im an 80s kid. Dont know about lipos and i have a few tble  02s esc laying around. Thanks again looking forward to input. Oh and price range about 100 using tble 02s 150 combo.

  3. So i spent a couple of evening over the last week doing the basic builds of the cars i ordered. All went pretty well so far as i can tell with the exception of 3 screws on the TOP FORCE that i need to take out and prob tap. The NEO was a fun build and fairly easy, I was surprised that the SAND VIPER kit seemed so basic as far as the instructions. Example being it doesnt call for grease where i usually grease. The M06 RA was interesting, Ive never done a M kit. I am going to be looking for some input as far as electronics and such for The parts i need to get Them running as well as I want a multi car controller. As I am a 80s kid i still use the Futaba Attack. Time to upgrade. Input always welcome through dM or on the thread.

  4. have 5 kits here. dont want to make 5 seprate posts.hope that makes sense . so, top force kit, other than bearings should i be looking for any other upgrades that are really worth while?

    sand Viper?

    Super Shot?

    M-05 Rally?

    Neo Fighter?

2cv is just going to be fun, sand viper and neo fighter are going to be bashers for me and my 3 kids, super shot is for one of my sons and top force is going to be my all done up baby that nobody touches but me, however i will run it and enjoy it. no shelf stuff.

other than bearings please feel free to have input on upgrades and things that your experiance can make my builds easier

  5. just finished taking the diffs apart and making sure they were set correctly. put it all back and hookd her up to power, yeah i just think the car is LOUD as far as the mechanics go. As i am more accustomed to 2wd rere and 4wd tt02b noises. im going o run it and if something breaks ill know what the issue is. still need a body and wing though. If all goes well ill def be looking to put a little more power to the wheels above the Tamiya BZ.

  6. Wanted to ask the more experienced,   I have built my DB01 RRR and seem to be having an issue, or think i am, with the dirivetrain or slipper clutch. The car seems really tight or like there is a drag on the drivetrain. The RRR is my first slipper so im not sure how to describe the issue. ALso notice a louder sound than i am used to hearing coming from the car, perhaps the gears are louder? Any comments welcome and apprieciated.

  7. As I have been stuck at home i have contracted a Tamiya Virus. Currently on their way to my front door are : Sand Viper, Super Shot, Neo Fighter(Metallic Green), Top Force 17" and a  Citroen 2cv rally !! Going to alot of fun deciding where to start. Perhaps ill do all the Paint work first or build one at a time? Who knows.

However I do have a question/advice to ask. I have built my DB01 RRR and seem to be having an issue, or think i am, with the dirivetrain or slipper clutch. The car seems really tight or like there is a drag on the drivetrain. The RRR is my first slipper so im not sure how to describe the issue. Any comments welcome and apprieciated.
