thanks bud. I've decided the motor is bunked. Have one coming from the States. This old thing has been superceded about four times and the hpi site doesn't even stock ANY of the parts anymore lol But I really want to blast it around. I'll doctor it.

And here she sits. Done for now. Since there was no engine bay in the box I am thinking of just rebuilding the hemi motor from my coupe and mounting that to the chassis, with a cut out in the bonnet area just enough for the blower to poke through. I'll toy with that later though. ALSO I noticed I/ didn't paint the top of the grille surround silver! Stupid mistake. But next time I am painting I will hit that with the chrome silver and use some alclad krystal klear to give it gloss. This has been fun!

As I'm not a fan of Parma's method of using velcro strips to attach the body I made a frame for the front body mounts and located the rears on the extension off the rear.

So. I finished the electrics. I went with good old brushed. I have no idea what the new fangled brushless stuff is lol.

lol yeah. Hens teeth they are. Should have thought this out better as the money these are costing I could have bought two RTR brand new kits! These are actually NOS wheels that were produced for the later 5 window Hemi Coupe 2. I got them from a bloke on ebay. The original kit wheels were the same Dragways as the original Hemi Coupe. But this box only had two sets of the Dragway rears, not that I'm complaining as I will keep them as spares for the coupe!

Sorry in advance, didn't know where to post this. I bought a old hpi mt with a dodge body off ebay and the dude said it was a runner.I have done the checks I know of and can't get it to fire up. Looking where I would expect the lsn to be I see this set up which seems to just screw un, but have no 'give' for the low speed setting. Anyone have any advice perhaps? Here is a pic of the carb linkage.

So the front end is done too. Simple and clean. These cars don't do offroad too well lol. Here is the parts, the front done, and the basic chassis complete. The steering doesn't go on til it's time for the servo.

I like it. Why follow what others think? Aerodynamics and downforce doesn't really matter that much for drifting does it? As long as the body doesn't roll then jack it as high as you want just to annoy people.

All the early parma kits used the same 'Good Times' fibreglass chassis setup yeah. The difference is the tub, this corvette has a full length tub as the body has wheel wells incorporated.

Thought I might build a buddy to play with my Hemi Coupe. Guy I bought this kit off said it was complete, but it is missing the lexan engine bay insert. Bit of a bummer, but it did contain two sets of the huge rear wheels! I'll keep those for the coupe.

Hi. The guy I purchased a parma kit off lives in hawaii. As part of the package I received the 9.6 battery and charger bnib, plus the car adaptable charger and the pulsar controller. All never been used. As the chargers are for the US the plugs are not compatible with the sockets here in Australia so they're pretty much useless to me. Is anyone here into vintage stuff like this? I am open to trade on any complete 1/10 cars on or off road. Or if someone wants to trade for cash that's also groovy. (I haven't the slightest idea what these are worth, so please be gentle... any price tips would be appreciated.) Pics below. Cheers.

Wow these tamiya kits are super impressive. I have never had one in my hands but used to see them at the hobby shops when I was there buying car kits. I hope I don't get the bug to build one...

Hi all. Another Aussie here. I've just decided to get back into playing with the rc's again. I was never really that much into them I guess but was more of a modeller. I did get a Parma Hemi Coupe back in '91 as it just plain looked rad. I built it up back then with all the gusto of youth and had a ball barrel rolling that sucker all over the place and basically just having fun. Eventually though it ended up being put aside as with the scale cars and I got playing with the real deal. Anyhow I dug it out a couple months ago after buying myself a 1/10 nitro kit with an aussie bodied GT falcon and getting the bug for more fun times. So I went and bought new esc and controller and batteries etc and am rebuilding the old beast. I also surfed the net looking for other kits and parts for them but have read the news of the original hemi coupe's demise. I did buy a brand new factory sealed original though, which I am hesitant to open! I also got one of the five window re-releases, and a bnib hemi vette. Man these old babies are like hens teeth. Okay, so enough of an intro. Here is a couple pics. The dust laden car as I got it out of the crate I had it stored in. A leaned up pic with the body mounts I have installed (never did like the velcro system!). A pic of it as it is now, running and re-painted (hemi still to be pulled down and rebuilt). And the brand new never opened boxed one!
