Ron at Cha-Ching might be putting together a cage for me soon. It will be awesome to see a cage Through the windows! Until then I finished it up. Will have to decide on color today.
While I wait for the motor and ESC combos from China I decided to install a vxl-3s ESC and a trinity caliber 19t brushed motor. Reverse off because traxxas ESCs are lame and 100% reverse with no stopping in between forward shreds drivetrains. This car flys. I installed the included smaller gear ratio. I wish I could get an adjustable reverse like the castle ESC on castle link. I also purchased a XP2G radio and 4channel receiver off eBay for 30$ shipped. I like the adjustment on this radio and for less then a MT-4 receiver I am happy.

They are indeed a beautiful chassis in bare form, a shame to cover it up with all the electrics etc

Check out Cha-ching racing on Facebook. I might not be putting the plastic tub on...

These chassis are really beautiful.

I love the scorpion so much I wanted a partner for it. This just arrived. I plan to pair these with identical electronics (GoolRc 3100 combos) and sand drag race them through camp in one of my favorite camping spots in the Mojave Desert.

Just one extra reason to drink a beer with some friends.

Continuing with my retro/modern mix I decided to throw in an Aurora 14-2 brushed 540 and a Castle Sidewinder 3 ESC. Way, too, fast. I just plugged it into the castle link and dialed it down to 75%. 75% max throttle and 25% brake seems good to go! I took the ugly flames off the nose too...

I won them in a raffle at this years RCX!
Thanks a lot!

There is a 30$ off code and with free shipping and no tax...come on now I couldn't pass it up!

I went with a hybrid retro/custom paint job.
I could really use some advise on electronics.

2.4 air, it'll link to my MT-4! I'm going cheap, not even trying to be competitive with this
I think I'll get a hobbywing and pull out a brushed??
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOUR BODY LINE AND CHASSIS MAKE YOUR STICKERS LOOK OFF?
This bugs me:

Thanks for looking!

Got some cool stuff in the mail from France

These just arrived from China for 7$ shipped. Oil filled, not leaked out, and fully adjustable. 5mm taller body over stock. I'll need to setup some new screws, spacers and washers but they fit. Should help keep the front end on the ground.

They were half filled with yellow fluid from China so I refilled them with some AE 10 weight

This thread got me to join the club and show off my Panda Pandamonium buggy. Thank you for this thread.

This little car wails with the stock 540 can and a lipo. The motor being attached to the rear axle makes the rear end loose. Lots of fun. Donuts for days... Haha

Dang! I recently purchased a new body and front bumper. I may be contacting you anyways...

My first real RC car was a Varicom Panda Pandamonium Buggy by Thunder Tiger. I recently came across one complete with the box, radio, and literature. I had 99% of the parts needed to convert it to 2.4ghz, lipo, and proper steering. Enjoy.

I was just going to display it but then...

Disassembly

Bent wire steering linkage and a 5 wire toy servo with a special "panda" mount. This made mounting a servo just a little more difficult, but do-able without cutting the chassis.

1:18 ball and cup installed with a Standard Futaba servo and standoffs from a RC10GT mounted to the stock servo location.

Electronics utilizing the stock motor and on/off switch. SC550 brushed ESC, XP3G RTR 2.4ghz setup

Rear oil shocks from a RC10B4

2200mah 2s 30c Lipo

New wheels, tires, body, axles, front 70mm oil shocks, bumper, and roll cage have been ordered and will be installed within a few days. I'll post a final pic then.
Feel free to comment! :-)
-Thanks for looking

I swapped the yellow wheels out for the aluminum style from the scorpion.
