  1. Thanks everyone, seems a great place here. I am trying to work up the courage to post some pictures but my modelling skills are rubbish. Having said that, I don't have any shelf queens so any marks and scratches could be classed as giving them 'character'
  2. Hi, just joined myself, seems a great place. Your painting skills look fantastic! I haven't had the guts to put any pictures up of my poor efforts yet
  3. That's looks really nice. There's not much 205 left in mine: Vauxhall engine, Ford gearbox and back axle, Capri front suspension and RWD conversion. It's an absolute scream when it runs, engine is currently in bits spread across the workshop
  4. Love all the astromech droids at the bottom of the 3rd picture
  5. Where to start? I collect Transformers, Star Wars and Lego (mainly Star Wars themed). And grass track racing is probably the biggest drain on my funds
  6. Hello all. I've just joined the forum after reading it for several years and thought I'd tell a bit about myself. I've had a quite a few RCs over the years, mainly Tamiya, starting with an original Rough Rider hand me down from my Dad. The first car that was mine from new was a Grasshopper 2 (super g?), followed by a Blitzer Beetle, Escort Cosworth, McLaren MP4/6 F1 car and Madcap. None of which I have anymore, but really wish I'd kept them - especially the Madcap, that car was so much fun: I was running a 10 double in it and I still have know idea how the gearbox survived! I currently have a Scania R620, a re-release Frog and a Midnight Pumpkin (bought for my son) that are up and running. I also have a couple of projects: my old Manta Ray that is currently sitting in 2 carrier bags that I have been meaning to clean up and see if its worth putting back on the road and an onroad chassis that could do with a strip and rebuild. I'm not sure exactly which chassis it is but it is a front engine belt driven 4WD from years ago. I'm considering my next car: can't decide between a Hotshot, Wild One or Optima (well out of my comfort zone), and my wife has taken a liking to the Monster Beetle rerelease, I'll get her hooked yet Well, I'm sure you're all bored of reading this by now so I'll leave it there, I'm sure I'll get some great advice if I ever need it.
  7. Finally got round to signing up for tamiyaclub after lurking for several years. Don't feel like such a stalker now
