Hey Willy, got a link to this? -
Monster Beetle Rear arm bracket - upgrade?
tamiya3speed replied to megalominiac's topic in Re-Release Discussions
One last thing you can try with the plastic caps is replace the self tappers with a machine screw bolted from the back. With the self tappers I found myself having to screw them back in on occasion as the self tappers wouldn’t stay tight. -
BB01 BBX RC : speculation/rumours/hope

Try going into your account and then checking the listing of your recent orders. I had the same on some of my recent backorders where the check order status could not find my order, but they were listed under my recent orders. -
BB01 BBX RC : speculation/rumours/hope
tamiya3speed replied to matisse's topic in General discussions
I have heard a similar story from my LHS regarding the system conversion at Horizon. Sounds like kind of a mess on their end for sure. I have all the hop ups on order at Horizon so hoping it gets ironed out soon. I did get the cvd shafts today. No shipping notice via email yet but I have the FedEx app and saw it there so watching that for the other items. Good news for me is that LHS called today and has my BBX so someone is shipping them. Not sure if it came from Tower or Tamiya. Will find out tomorrow I guess. -
Tower is running a sale that includes 20% off on a number of Kyosho items including the Optima Mid and Ultima. Thought it was worth spreading the word.
-
Sooo……Dogfighter huh? I relayed the news to my LHS today, he was excited at the prospect. I hope this turns out to be true.
-
Did you make the center shaft or does someone sell them? Looks great!
-
I thought of starting one but remembering this false alarm years ago I wasn’t willing to get my/anybody else’s hopes up until there was something more official. Having said that, I am super excited to know if this is true as I will start hunting for an opportunity to preorder. Always drooled over these old Yokomo 4 wheelers way back when.
-
I preordered straight away. Love that is seems well planned and thought through. The companion videos also left me very impressed. I actually emailed Losi regarding use of my DX5-Pro and they indicated they were working on a firmware upgrade to make it all work.

Heads up if anyone wants one of these, currently on sale at Amain for $299 https://www.amainhobbies.com/schumacher-procat-classic-1-10-4wd-offroad-buggy-kit-schk193/p1455028

That an 834B? Lovely looking cars. First 4WD world champion if I recall correctly.

New Tamiya RC-items + imho an unexpected re-re

Glad to see the Buggy Champ making a comeback. Was actually pricing out wheels, tires, and a body a few weeks ago but decided to hold off. Glad I did. -
Kyosho Legendary Series availability
tamiya3speed replied to Saito2's topic in Re-Release Discussions
It is probably time for Kyosho to do another version of the Ultima, been a while since the re-re came out. I would love to see them do a re-release the old Land Jumps. I hate nitro but there is something about those cars that is fascinating to me. -
Kyosho Legendary Series availability
tamiya3speed replied to Saito2's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Kyosho seems to run new batches of everything Legendary series all at the same time. Last time they came in, they all seemed to be in stock at once. Parts can be tricky but I don’t think they have discontinued anything yet. They switched inventory sometime during COVID so you will notice a lot of parts are marked discontinued when they often are not. For example the satin chrome wheels SCH006SC show discontinued, but their replacement SCH006SCB is not. Same part different number. Having said all that, if you are even curious about a Legendary Series car, buy it. They are exceptionally made and build beautifully. -
Based on body mounts and frame it looks to have started life as the Hilux variant. All are pretty close to the same with most differences in detail parts. The Tundra is unique in that it has a different chassis (I believe longer) to accommodate raising the transmission and battery.
-
My LHS has told me not to expect stock until late April and that was based on info directly from Kyosho. As to the Kyosho America website, I notice that parts tend to come in bunches under the New Items banner so I suspect that the website is only updated in batches. No concern from me though, been ordering parts that I presume to fit (dampers, universals) waiting for the actual kit.

I have been hopeful for a Jugg rerelease for some time. The updated drivetrain proved to be durable for years after in the TXT models so there is no reason to be afraid to do it. In addition, Jugg prices are stupid high on eBay.

Reminds me of Tamiya...
tamiya3speed replied to Saito2's topic in Monster Trucks, 4x4, Wheelie Rigs and Crawlers
Really doing my best to resist ordering the Ford High Trail. Just a beautiful truck and I really enjoy the TRX-4 platform. Now, I will agree with @Saito2 that the Stampede is no true Monster Truck, but I still say drive one if you get the chance. Great runners, super tough chassis! -
Has Tamiya finally gone to Hobbywing ESCs?
tamiya3speed replied to Killajb's topic in General discussions
Could not agree more. Great performance but drives me crazy that the switch is undersized. The 1060 wires are also fairly short so mounting can be tough. -
Extended WB Regulator Racer Truck

Yes, very nice looking indeed. Does someone sell the extended WB plate or something you made? -
BB01 BBX RC : speculation/rumours/hope

LHS quoted me $250 plus tax which in the end I feel is very reasonable. Especially considering this seems pretty well spec’d straight out of the box. -

Really like what I see so far and seems to be what many have hoped for over the years. I will be ordering one. -
Boomer, Fox and Greenhopper coming back!
tamiya3speed replied to Twinfan's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Great news. Always thought the green Grasshopper looked very nice. Had a Boomerang and sold it which was silly. Think I have 4 Foxes but, will be nice for spares as I do use my Fox.
