What dogbones get used when swapping to G6-01?
-
I worked for a local high-line European car dealer when the Enzo came out. We had one come through for (I believe) pre delivery inspection and I distinctly remember the crowd it drew in the shop. Pretty hard to get luxury car mechanics to stop in their tracks but the Enzo did! Still a beauty, though I think the F40 is my personal favorite.

What is going on with eBay sellers in Japan!!!!!
tamiya3speed replied to futureworks's topic in General discussions
eBay has a bunch of Japan listings for crazy high prices. It's becoming a bit of a joke to me. Looking at Neo Scorcher kits running from $250 to $300+ USD. Now it's not in stock at Tower currently but when it is I can get it locally for $150 USD and that is before coupons. -
Ah, I see. I'll have to check them closely then. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with this issue? Was it limited to this chassis and previous reres?

58676 TAMIYA 1/10 VOLVO A60V HAULER 6X6 G6-01

Not to mention the Volvo license on this one may add a few bucks to Tamiya's cost. -
Nuremberg toy fair are we going to be disappointed?
tamiya3speed replied to moffman's topic in General discussions
I'm happy with the Terra Scorcher. Don't have anything on that chassis so I'm a sure thing on that one. Isn't there a reinforced part I need for the front end? I have successfully resisted any comical buggies until now but will be awaiting the Avante pics. I'll probably grab that or the Grasshopper which I see as the best looking of the current comical release. Also interested in the mudman pics...I need help lol! -
I have hoped for a Juggernaut 2 rere for years. I think it took until the TXT-1 for the revised gearboxes to begin to get a better reputation. US prices can be high so I'll just hope for a rere.

David Jun's 2005 Race winning Tamiya TNX Replica build
tamiya3speed replied to acprc's topic in The Builds
I had a stock TNX and absolutely loved it. Started and ran every time which is much more than I can say for my TMaxx. Looking forward to this one.- 63 replies

What connector do you use and why?
tamiya3speed replied to The Twingo Lord's topic in General discussions
I use Anderson. With the crimp tool they work super easy. I always feel like I should go back to Dean's or switch to xt60 but I'm pretty happy with the ease of use of the Anderson's and can't bring myself to do it. I have an Arrma Kraton 6s NIB and I'm not sure I trust the Anderson connectors to that kind of amperage. -
How'd you come up with your Display Name?
tamiya3speed replied to ACCEL's topic in General discussions
Couldn't agree more on Rivera. For the benefit of a bunch of my friends I hope Browns ownership sees it that way too, they deserve a winner after so many bad years. -

Off topic but it gets much worse than being stuck as a Panthers fan. I'm in Ohio so my choices are Bengals or Browns. The two pillars of NFL dysfunction. I was a Bengals fan for years but it finally got to be too much so I'm pretty much avoiding them until Mike Brown is (hopefully) forced to sell. -
Can I ask where the engine models came from?

Off of Tamiyablog. Very curious on this one, new part number, the II I'm thinking means they have updated some portion of the diff? It recall complaints regarding the original hop up coming loose so wonder if that was addressed. One thing is for sure, they need to do another run of Fighting Buggys.

47439 1/10 TT-02 Type-SR Chassis Kit
tamiya3speed replied to TurnipJF's topic in General discussions
I agree, type S with blue bits. I've got to say I'm interested to see it. -
I've got my eye on one. I had an RC18 way back when and really had a lot more fun than I had expected. Curious to see how you like it.

In reality I don't need anything special. Just something for what will most likely be a light runner that will be stiffer than the stock setup. That Rogue Elements item is super cool!

Thanks for the info on that design Twinset. Interesting to find how the design originally came about!

Who has the best aftermarket chassis currently? I have an older Radshape which is beautiful but they don't seem to be around anymore. I also bought one of these: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F221996309178 in the past and was very unimpressed. Cuts were uneven and sharp. Not sure if I got a bad one or what. So what else is available and worth the cost?

Whats going to be the "BIG" Re-re of 2020?
tamiya3speed replied to GTodd's topic in Re-Release Discussions
I know that this is getting a bit of topic with the World's discussion, but I'd really like to know the whole story on those. I agree, the RC10 Classic was severely under produced, then they turned around and made seemingly 10 million world cars. What is strange to me is it's almost like they panicked when it didn't fly of the shelves (I'm sure pricing, trans issues contributed) and started discounting very quickly. Think about something like the Avante 2011, if I recall correctly, they were still relatively available in 2016-2016. Tamiya didn't freak out and blow those out. It's a shame, I wish they were still available, especially considering that just about all the period competition is currently readily available. I made a big mistake selling 2 spare World's cars and now only have 1 NIB and 1 opened Classic. -

JRX2 would be totally awesome! -

So I am cutting my Tamiya funds drastically in 2020. The following would get me to open my wallet: Monster Racer, Vanquish, Ford F150, TXT-1, TLT-1, Fighting Buggy (again). -
Hopup ReRe - Top Force Evo Carbon Plates
tamiya3speed replied to ThunderDragonCy's topic in Re-Release Discussions
First shipment is already out at RCMart. I purchased last night but got a note this morning that they do didn't have any more in stock. Was able to order them via LHS at a similar price so no great loss in the end.
