  1. Bringing this back to the top. Car is still here just in case there is any interest. Arrma dropped pricing on these so $450 +ship. UPS also has a decent shipping promotion on retail ground. Still won’t be cheap but it is something!
  2. I realize these are very poor runners, especially with all the other scale options available today but they still look amazing and I would enjoy every second of building a rere if it came along. Heck I would love to have an original but eBay prices are above what I am willing to outlay.
  3. I have to agree with Mad Ax. Build a Clod stock with a decent servo, bearings, metal anti-rotation brackets, steel pinions. They are surprisingly fun stock, bouncing and crashing around. Then decide which direction to go when you start really upgrading.
  4. Just had my LHS take delivery of a Super Hotshot directly from Tamiya and I was informed the price went up direct too so price may not totally be Tower’s doing. Not that it makes it any better.
  5. Up until yesterday Kyosho USA only had the HD steering part shown. Looks like they have added some but not all of the others. Notably missing as of last check were the HD counter gear and CF chassis plate.
  6. I think that box art looks excellent! Not generally big on the actual picture box art but it works for me here.
  7. With the strong dollar, maybe check Tamico if you are in the US. I was cross shopping the xV02 which they have available now at a very favorable price to Tower, even considering Tower discounts and shipping costs from Germany.
  8. I have noticed the add to cart option disappeared too. Believe it was this past Thursday or Friday it went away. Keep an eye out, it will likely be back, hopefully after the long weekend. Only time I recall it going away in the past was due to inventory.

    USA -1

@Scott.Welch Maybe check the USA1 facebook page if you haven’t yet?
  10. So I don’t understand the suspension blocks at all, but trying to figure out which of the newer style blocks this thing would use. The manual uses separate blocks marked M (rear) and J (front). Along with a one piece mount that appears to the same front and back. Tamiya is releasing the one piece mount in aluminum as 22055 (XH). Manual references 54884 (Sus block A) to be used for the rear, but doesn’t call out anything for the front. Anybody understand this enough to know? @qatmix? I read your site but for some reason I just don’t understand all the options, pills, etc, etc.
  11. Word from LHS today is that he received mine. I can’t get there to get them until next week but glad to know they are here finally!
  12. Well @razzar you are right! Just heard from my lhs. He talked with Kyosho today and should have his by middle of next week.
  13. I just don’t get it. Some basic communication would go a long way here. What is the point of a Facebook page/website, etc if you can’t communicate the most basic of availability data. I really love the Kyosho rere kits but I have to agree that the total lack of information here is becoming frustrating.
  14. Great news @razzar! Spoke with my LHS today, no word yet from him. He has 3 on order and I have spoken for the first two. No confirmation from Kyosho for him yet but we put the order in just as soon as news got out so he is hoping to get at least one from the first allotment.
  15. Just did my nightly check of US stock, Tower has finally put a date on the preorder and it is September! My LHS ordered directly from Kyosho so hopefully it will be sooner but jeez, this isn’t fun anymore
  16. And $229 at that. Was expecting more with the cost of everything skyrocketing now.
  17. I remember him! Not sure where he went off to but he had some great builds.
  18. Great news as far as I see it that the rere program is still up and running at Schumacher. Still holding out hope on an eventual Cat 2000 EC.
  19. Check out A-Main in the US. They have tons of parts for the Cat XLS and Top Cat still in stock. That is where I got my kits and spares and have never had any issues with availability. No worse that Tamiya or Kyosho as far as I am concerned.
  20. All this scarcity talk is making me nervous here in the states. I ordered directly from Kyosho through my LHS so hopefully will get at least one. As of right now I don’t know if any have landed here yet.
  21. Do you recall if the brass pipe is installed in the diff gears? Or the pin on the long diff joint? Could lead to the diff jumping and crunching under load. Also make sure you are attached to the correct motor holes based on pinion choice.
  22. I get the reasoning from Losi, but the rerelease of the RC10 did nothing to negatively effect value of the originals. I would argue that if done right it would only increase market knowledge and value of the originals. My $0.02 and certainly not directed at you Cdanna76!
  23. I have had luck multiple times in the past emailing RPP Hobbies about items on the Tamiya website that don’t appear available anywhere else. Done it with two Fighting Buggies and a NovaFox that Tower had said they couldn’t order. RPP charged a fair price to special order the kits with a fairly quick turnaround. Just FYI. I do the majority of my online ordering at Tower, RPP, or Amain.
  24. My LHS told me today that his contact at Horizon encouraged me to look elsewhere if I wanted one. I was very late to the preorders so I’m not shocked and will hold out hope that one does come along. I have a 40th but man oh man the packaging of the 45th was what pushed me over the edge to preorder.
  25. Can confirm re warehouse. Kyosho moved from California to Texas recently.
