  1. What did you think of the alloy rear arms? Always tempted by the ones on eBay, but the cost is just too insane.
  2. Got a call from LHS saying my USA-1 was on its way from Kyosho and to expect it next week. He hung up and called me no less than 5 minutes later saying FedEx just dropped it off! Magic! May try to go grab it tonight will see how the workday finishes.
  3. Way too many. Not quite sure what to do about it anymore. Some of them I know will probably never be run so currently considering building for the experience and then selling. May be the way to satisfy my desire to build but clear space at the same time?
  4. Well, on the list! Funny thing is that I placed an order with TamiyaUSA today and threw in the CC-02 spur adapter to get to $50 and free shipping. I don’t currently have a CC-02. Apparently I subconsciously knew this was coming lol!
  5. This look to me like 3D printed versions of the Thundertech Racing wideners. I had a set years ago and the held up well. Mind you, I think they were delrin. They were recently selling some stuff on eBay. May be worth reaching out and seeing if they still make those. Otherwise, the JConcepts wheels have different levels of width built in.
  6. I agree on this. RCMart was my go to for quite a while for Tamiya hop-ups and the occasional kit. But prices have risen to almost equal to what I can get stuff for here in the states that it just isn’t worth it anymore. Especially taking into account the Covid related shipping delays and shipping price increases. I will say it bums me out a little bit though. Call me a nerd, but there was something fun about watching the tracking update as toy car parts made their way to me from the other side of the world!
  7. Yeah, figured as much. I’ve been waiting on a USA-1 preorder and it has slipped from July to August to September and now October ☹️
  8. It used to be pretty accurate. To your point, in COVID times I don’t trust any estimates anymore! I just tell it to notify me when it’s back in stock.
  9. Mine had both types of grease in a single tin if I remember correctly. If you are missing some I would probably use Associated Diff Grease and Associated Black Grease (for the thrust assembly) as a substitute.
  10. Kind of itching to get ahold of a Juggernaut 2 or maybe scratch build something close to one out of parts. Anybody have one they are thinking of offloading or maybe spare plastic (C, E,F,G,H) parts trees? There are a few complete on eBay but at over $1,000 It just isn’t worth that to me.
  11. Don’t recall being this anxious to see a manual get published lol!
  12. Thanks tamiya_1971! Yes RPP. They do a big scaler/crawler business. They were the only major shop online willing to order me both a Fighting Buggy (which ended up being added to the site) and a NovaFox (which they ordered and didn’t add to the site). Both Amain and Tower told me they could not get either vehicle. Note they didn’t let me use the coupon on the special order items but I felt price was fair! Something like $200 for the NovaFox.
  13. Juggernaut 2 Hilux 3speed King Blackfoot King Cab or Hilux
  14. Email RPP if you want a NovaFox. They will order it directly from Tamiya at less than the Tamiya website price. I had to pay up front but the delay wasn’t very long before delivery.
  15. Looks great to me!
  16. @Mokei Kagaku May have something. I haven’t seen him around in some time so maybe try a PM?
  17. A little jealous here as I used to get eBay 20% off all the time and then one day they just stopped. Everything I get now is on refurbished items. Got done good Traxxas deals with the 20% coupons.
  18. Couldn’t be happier. Missed this first time around by waiting too long to pull the trigger. Glad to see it back in some form.
  19. Bruiser if it helps: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=124614&id=41145 Not mine btw.
  20. Preordered today at Tower. Added universals, slipper, and servo mounts. Yes. I’m a sucker! BUT, with Tower I don’t have to pay up front so I’ve got until October to see more and potentially back off!
  21. Quick check between MSRP of Knight Hauler, Frog, and Top Force Evo vs listed price at Tower suggests listed sale price at Tower is about 70% of MSRP. Calculates to a listed price on Tower in the $314 range. If it plays out that way and discounts are able to be used, I'm in.
  22. I wonder if it will fit a shorty lipo? Could then squeeze the receiver or an esc in front of the battery and save pivoting the shocks to swap the battery? Either way, I like it!
  23. I gotta say, paint job is much uglier than I had expected. BUT, quirky, overly complex, really just what I expected. If price is decent they will have a preorder from me.
  24. When the Fighting Buggy was announced I pestered RPP hobby to let me pre-order one. They eventually did put it up on the site when they were able to order from Tamiya USA, not sure if it was because I was bugging them or if there were others. Maybe worth a try? I also rely on AMain and Tower. I have a phenomenal LHS but since COVID TamiyaUSA wasn't taking phone orders so he hasn't ordered directly from them in a while (strange I know, but he is older and doesn't like to do email) so now I can only easily order what Horizon will stock. Prices were always better when he went direct to Tamiya.
