Something weird is going on with the slipper. It doesn't even come up as available for purchase at Tamiya USA. The slipper I ordered is still on backorder at Tower too.

Yeah, it completely disappeared from the site yesterday!  Showed back up today though.  Not going to start anything until I can get that slipper.  But who am I kidding.  I have too many unfinished projects as is so no doubt I won’t start right away anyway.

Did you receive it yet? FedEx changed mine from today before 8pm, to by 8 pm, to “end of day”, now I presume tomorrow? Same as you, it’s less than ten miles from my house.

Sure did!  Funny thing was, i came home Monday  and there it was.  Apparently they had no desire to make me wait another day.  Still waiting on hop-ups, slipper at least, before i even consider getting started.

  3. So considering letting go of my Arrma Felony.  Had it since release, never been opened so thinking I probably never will open it and should maybe just move it along.  Problem is, the box is gigantic so shipping is prohibitive to just about anywhere and even in the US it’s pretty outrageous (like $100 or more  to west coast from Ohio).  Would there be any interest at say $550 + shipping, payment via PayPal?  I’d still need to figure out a box, etc but let me know if you may be interested.

Wait for the SCX6 to sell out, then sell it for more than you paid for it. Not so dumb now, is it?

The TD 2/4 isn't going anywhere, Tamiya seems invested in this chassis for the long term. I feel more models based on it are on the way. In the mean time, enjoy your new tractor rock crawler.

I don’t know I could ever sell the SCX6, shipping would be outrageous!!  I drive a Forester and the box barely fit in the hatchback!  It’s really impressive and I haven’t even opened the box yet.  Really looking forward to riding it around like on the Berm Peak Express review lol.

That the old one is far cooler or that here are two vehicles with the same name that share little in common aside from drive layout? While I admit the old was is beautiful, one could argue that the newer Foxbody Mustang actually wound up transcending the Mustang name. The Fox "5-oh" Mustang had/has an entire following that may or not be into the entire Mustang lineage. In many ways, it brought the US hot-rodder out of the days of carburation and into the world of computer controller fuel injection. The Fox was a bridge between two eras introducing new lighter weight construction techniques, computer engine control and 5-speed overdrive transmissions while retaining the basic Windsor V8 architecture underneath and eventually a tough 8.8 rear end out back. Along with the '32 Ford, 55 Chevy and '69 Camaro, its one of the pivotal cars in the US hot rod movement.

5.Slow as I used to hear it called around here. Name always made me laugh.

Tamiya plugs also corrode badly when not used for a while - one of the pins will go green.

My replacement plug of choice is PowerPoles - they're a bit chunky but the big plus is you can fit them without soldering.

Love my PowerPoles!  Essentially gone from the hobby market but they are so easy to use that I can’t bring myself to convert to anything else.
