My LHS was able to call Kyosho directly and pre-order. You can always do that route, but it isn't up on the USA site yet so would require an email. Not sure about Kyosho distribution in other countries though.

Took my RC10 B6.3D to the track for the first time on Friday. First practice lap, one of my shocks popped apart and emptied. I bought more shock oil, rebuilt it, and went to register. I needed a body hole for the transponder and had to ask for help. Regulars took a look at my buggy, only the second kit I've ever bought, and were mildly bemused. They reassembled a few things, added screws to places I'd missed them, and got me on the track. I made it one lap before I broke my servo. That ended my first night of racing. I marshalled the next race, learned to fear 1/8 scale buggies, and went home.
Not sure when I'll be able to replace the servo, so racing is on hold for the moment.
Tough first night! Glad to hear some of the more experienced folks were willing to have a look and lend a hand. I've only been to the track a couple of times, once was when they were running 1/8 gas. Have to be careful marshalling those!

I feel like there was one quick monent where the original Twin Force started to get popular but just like that it wasn't. I always wanted to try one so maybe now is the time. Would love for someone to come up with a different battery tray option though.

Try the dealer locator on the site. If you have any local, call them and see if they can order directly from Tamiya. Tamiya USA's price is intentionally high to protect dealers as they want you to order from a dealer. If you don't have anyone local, try emailing RPP Hobby. They didn't seem to plan to carry the Fighting Buggy, but I emailed and they checked with Tamiya and put it on the site. One COVID frustration for me, I have a great LHS but unfortunately he doesn't want to use email to do business and Tamiya has zero phone support the pandemic (or at least he can't seem to reach anybody). That has made me have to go to other dealers like RPP.

Shen, I put CVDs on my XV01 LD and it looks like 50883 is the driveshaft they use as stock so I habe a spare. PM me your address and I'll send one out your way. May take me a few days to get it out, FYI.

Well, here is hoping Tamiya will do another run of the Wild One Rerelease at least!

I wonder if the TXT stub axles are the issue? They are like 1/4 inch wider than Clod stub axles.

Really hoping for another run as well.. I had one on backorder at Tower and it got discontinued before they could fill it ☹️
So did I! If I remember correctly it got pushed back twice before Tower marking as discontinued. Quite the bummer.

I tried to track down a NIB for a while with no luck at a reasonable price. Hopefully they will do another run as I would really like one at some point, but not at the crazy prices of the moment.

Just came across Mechanic After Hours highly customized Super Astute on YouTube. Beautiful Build. Going to be checking out some of the other videos on the channel.

RPP Hobby out of California has pre-orders up for those in the US. For those who don't know RPP, I have had great experience with them over the years. They have a great selection of scaler parts and I've been bugging them and Tower for months to put up a backorder for the Fighting Buggy. They got it up first and got my order!

We turned on the TV to watch a movie yesterday evening and on Discovery channel they were broadcasting something called BattleBots 2020 World Championship, I totally forgot about that robot wars thing! Both my wife and I got fascinated and ended up watching the whole thing instead of the movie, and we laughed so hard!! It's real fun and quite impressive to watch, I guess that's one of the most extreme ways to enjoy RC! The ultimate bashers no doubt
a team from New Zealand won just for the record.
I suggest watching some if you get the chance, it's really hilarious
Been watching a lot of Battlebots lately. Really entertaining and to your point, the ultimate bashers!

If you want a more comparable substitution for the Sand Scorcher, take a look at the Kyosho Scorpion line. Still has that cool look (including a front and rear trailing arm suspension) with much better performance to the Sand Scorcher. Would be a step down from the Ultima but definitely a step up from the Scorcher.

The universal will pop out if nothing is done. Mine goes at least once per run. My intention is to add internal limiters to the damper but just havent done it yet. Having said that, I do love running my Monster Beetle.

Hopefully for those that want them, the Fire Dragon doesn't stay "stuck" at Tamiya USA like the Nova Fox has. Its strange Evos and Thunder Dragons are up for pre-order at Tower, for instance, but no mention of Fire Dragons in the US outside of Tamiya USA.
Right on Saito2. My LHS has contacted Horizon multiple times about the Novafox and Fighting Buggy and is told each time they are discontinued and unavailable to order. I have contacted Amain directly and been told the same. Completely frustrating. Almost went to RCmart for a Fighting Buggy but their total price is nearly $100 more than I expect in the US due to shipping cost.

My last two orders (both kits) came FedEx using the basic shipping. Usually 2 days or less from order to delivery here in Ohio. When I have ordered smaller items, I have seen slower pick & pack and longer delivery times via USPS.

Is that metric or standard hardware? Also, thoughts on the lower links after assembly? Unique design for sure.

Kwkenuf, you have to take tax into consideration there too. Mike in PA paid $323 due to local tax being added. Without tax that 20% deal means the kit itself was probably closer to $300 (at today's $373 price) before tax was added. This has just started being collected in most ares from major online retailers and inflates that final number.
While the Tower sales may not be as good as they seem at first glance, they have the biggest Tamiya range of any online US retailer. And have better coupons to boot. Quick check on the Scorcher between Tower and Amain shows the same price at both retailers. The difference being that Tower has a $50 off coupon ($65 for premium members). Amain only offers $30. Both will charge me 7.5% on top for local sales tax.

I was on the fence about the TF EVO and a for sure on the Thunder Dragon. Seeing prices its going to be hard to turn town the TF EVO. Price seems extremely fair after all the VQS complaints. Also glad to see a decent price on the Thunder Dragon.

Love me some Kumamon tractor! If you run him on hard surfaces either remove the bear or give him a helmet, he is very easy to damage up there, and tough to find. Kids love ours and I regret not buying another when Tamiya USA was selling them cheap (the rtr that is)!

FYI, Tower has a 24 hour 25% off sale going on today. Includes Grasshopper, XV-01 Lancia, TC-01, and Dynahead.

Did I just buy an unnecessary part?

I just bought a Blitzer Beetle partly because years ago I bought spare arms and gearbox parts. Felt like if I had the parts, might as well get the kit!
