  1. As stated.  Both NIB in plastic wrap.  Both have been packed away essentially since purchase.

Sand Scorcher is only the kit. Later release, no shirt sticker so I would assume there isn't one in there.  $320 shipped in the US.

Top Force is a 2017 rere.  I will include a pack of 47358 hi cap dampers, Yeah Racing motor mount, spare kit u-joints (new, not in package), and bearings (loose but new avid rubber sealed).  $345 shipped.  Not currently interested in breaking the Top Force package up to sell the shocks separately.

I will get pics for any interested.  Overseas shipping is considerably more expensive (not including local taxes etc) so this will be limited to US only. Paypal only please.

  2. So same old chassis, same old plastic bushings, ugly wheels, but lucky us, it should include the fancy new $230 or so MAP price for US buyers!!  At first glance I can't say the body is any better than that on the Traxxas.

Sorry, just had to complain a bit there.  I may get the body for ab MST CMX build.

  3. From what I remember, when Traxxas disallowed discounting people said it was to level the field between online retailers and brick and mortar shops.  Now there are plenty of reasons people have to complain about Traxxas but that is a noble idea if it truly was the case.  That change also didn't come with an outright  35% local price increase as seen here.  In the end I am sure that Tamiya will find out very quickly this was a bad move that has alienated a number of loyal supporters and will drive their market share even lower in the US.  I just hope somebody there is smart enough (or willing enough to swallow their pride) to reverse course.

  4. While I agree they have always been on the higher end (all are vs rc mart and other asian retailers before taking shipping into account) this appears to take it to a whole new level.  Another example, they had asked I think $779 for the Bruiser since forever ago and now want $1,059.  I'm more concerned if this price hike (over 36%) will be at other retailers too or if it is a product of their recent bankruptcy.

They have the Lunchbox priced over $140!  That was $100-$110 recently.

  5. Ok, so how about I throw in a Traxxas TQ radio from a Stampede kit (it's basic but new) for $330 shipped to US?  I had it out of the box this weekend and want to mention the tires have some white residue on them.  Pretty sure it's mold release but in the interest of full disclosure.

  6. Thanks for the interest Ritchie but I am going to chicken out on selling this right now and focus on selling a couple of others.  Not sure it was worth the effort for you anyway, I would have asked for another $50 for shipping (quoted at $81 via USPS).  With the risk of customs it had potential to get pricey.

  7. Got the Fox and the Monster Beetle out with the kids.  Monster Beetle now has a clicking transmission and ripped off a drive axle hitting the mailbox (thanks son)!!  No worries, now I have a reason to build one of my MIP diff kits.  Fox made it through ok though!

  9. I had a Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec with the old Traxxas Pro15.  It was so cool looking but was a nightmare to get to run right.  It was before the ez-start days and had a terrible pull starter (or did I convert it to pull start, hmm).  Either way, I could get it to start but never get it to keep running.  One day a friend and I spent a whole afternoon getting it to run.  We finally had it running decent and another buddy of mine asked to try it out.  Within 30 seconds he was airborne over a curb.  The body and air filter were off and when we got to the car the carb was stuffed with dirt!!!  The car never ran right again lol.  A few years later the friend who I had spent the day working on it with bought the car and converted it to a 2.5r.  That was the solution as it ran good for some time afterwards.  That almost turned me off of nitro for good.  Later a TNX and RC10GT2 convinced me nitro wasn't all bad.

  10. I find that Tamiya in the USA is very hard to get a good price out of.  I expect to lose half of what I have in it.  Opposite of that is that I have always done well when selling Axial.  People tend to pay closer to retail on those.

  11. So I just bought this about two weeks ago, got it home and opened the box and thats about it.  Not sure it is going to hold my interest as I have an RC10T6 on the way so am willing to let it go to a good home if the offer is there.  Thinking $340 shipped in the US?  I'm at work now but can get pics when home for any interested party.

  12. I saw this the other day, pretty sad to see such a blatant ripoff of a classic (yes, I know it is a copy of the rere but still).  I can only assume the quality is total junk.  My worry is that these start being passed off as genuine in the secondary market.  You really wouldn't know until you had it in your hands.
