I love the red, very unique!

I picked up a very lightly used EVOIII for all of $60. Rear diff was blown, otherwise it was nearly mint. Rebuilt the diff with M05 ball diff parts and it's like new again. Still a great car! No fancy red though, it is indeed all gray.

Out of interest, what M05 parts did you use to repair the diff?

  2. Selling my Tamiya TA04-SS which has been painstakingly converted to TA04R
This car was built brand new in late '16 for the 2017 Iconic cup. After a successful championship win, it was converted to a TA04-R spec for the 2018 season.
A last minute decision was made to use a TB02, so it was used a few times, but less than 10 runs outdoors
It was also loaned out to compete in the 2018 Iconic cup indoor event where it took TQ & finished 3rd overall

It started life as a TA04-SS. Here is the list of options fitted to make it a TA04-R plus all the parts to make it competitive in the iconic cup:

Carbon tub lower deck with flex post
    Carbon fibre top deck
    U/J's fitted F&R
    Stabilisers F&R
    Ball diffs F&R
    TRF blue dampers
    Alloy servo mounts
    Low friction belts F&R
    TA04 racing hub carrier set
    TA04 blue alloy steering set
    TA04 finned motor mount
    0.4 module spur gear

    I've also added some parts:
Hex head screws fitted all round
Blue alloy ball studs. Steel ball studs where strength was needed
    Moodyfools titanium droop screws
    HPI 5.5mm allox hexes

Chassis has been modified to accept Vapex lipos (ok'd prior to modification, so perfectly legal). Chassis has outdoor use, hence scratches

I am including all the spares listed including the SS suspension arms, some spur gears & some new parts. I am including the original chassis, plus the TA04 carbon lower deck (brand new), I found after purchase it wasn't a R spec.

I will also throw in a Hobbywing 1060 esc, a TP 17t brushed motor & some used  Sorex 32r BRCA tyres to get you started

Note: you will require a pinion gear & servo saver plus your radio gear to get it running. A suitable shell will be required for its current setup. Fit the SS arms to use the MR-S shell

Its boxed with the instruction manual plus the Toyota MR-S carbon print shell

I can also include 2 Vapex 3300 mah lipos for additional cost

£250 posted. Collection from Bristol possible

A picture won't load for some reason. Pictures available upon request

I'm planning on coming for a watch as I'm in the South West. Its a great circuit to watch at, I've only driven on the off road track there. Wish I still had my old TL01 chassis...

More than welcome to watch. I will never sell my TL01-LA, love that car!

  4. All sorted now so no longer required

I'm looking for the crescent moon 555 decals from a Tamiya subaru impreza WRC '97 shell. I'm not after the headlights/grills etc, just the sponsor logos. So, if you have built a kit & not used those decals, let me know

Picture for reference. That's the design I am after

    Many thanks in advance

Ok that makes sense. Would it be open to entrants who have never raced before / complete beginners etc?

Yes, all abilities are welcome. Provided you have a BRCA licence, you're more than welcome to compete

We always help each other out at a meeting, so don't feel afraid to ask anyone for help. I always bring used race tyres if someone wants to try them /trashed their current set or don't wanna use their fancy wheels!

If you don't have a licence, visit brca.org where you can purchase one. It's like a £20 insurance policy in case something happens. Plus, it's valid at all racing clubs affiliated with the BRCA (About 99% of clubs in the UK)

Which class would a TT02 chassis fit into, the same Stock category as the TT01 / TT01E ? (the TT02 isnt listed anywhere, not in the super stock class either) Strange its not shown anywhere as a lof of the stock tamiya touring cars come with this chassis as standard.

These races sound great - like a 1:10 scale Gran Turismo

Its not listed as its not eligible to compete

The idea of the iconic cup is kind of a continuation /homage to the Tamiya eurocup which is no longer active in the UK. Basically, it's a championship for on road cars that would of competed up to 2004

The idea is that we blow the cobwebs off our old cars & have a blast

Note: there is ZERO support /affiliation with Tamiya
