Here's my department store bike. Got it about 10yrs ago and still use it regularly. When I got it, I didn't know how much I would actually use it, or if I would lose interest shortly after getting it, so I didn't want to spend a lot on one. I chose a mountain bike due to its ability to go more places. I hop curbs, beat down rough trails, and cruise around town. Other than basic maintenance the only issues I have ever had with it was bent rims and flat tires (my fault of course). The suspension still glides over bumps. For a $250 USD bike, I have no complaints. Oh, and the clown horn is very effective in getting peoples attention. =)

What makes the Sandshaker sit higher than a regular TT02 car? I was looking through the manuals, and it looks like they both use the same suspension arms, but different drive shafts and wheel axles. I don't get how that gives the Sandshaker more height? Is it just longer dampers? My plan is to build the Subaru XV into a rally car, but with a little more height and chunkier tires. Basically, a Subaru body on the Sandshaker chassis. Sandshaker manual. See step 17. https://www.tamiyausa.com/pdf/manuals/58608ml.pdf Subaru XV TT02 manual. DF02 Plasma Edge - ongoing project/runner
Kingfisher replied to Jason1145's topic in General discussions
Are your front wheels the same diameter as the rears? -
At least you were close to home, and an easy fix. I took one of mine to a parking lot about 15 miles away. Within the first 5mins of running it, the pinion came loose on the shaft, just as you described. I had no tools with me, so I had to go back home. That was the day I learned about using loctite on the grub screw.

I found the real thing. It exists. Wild.

I too am interested in that rear setup. -
Any reason to buy more tools is a good reason. =)

That looks great.

How funny. In my previous post, I considered commenting about putting them on the Scollin's CC01. Little did I know... lol If a mod wants, they can close this thread and we can continue in the scollin's thread, if that's cool with Speedy.

Ha! Awesome. What are you putting them on? Will there be action pics/vids?

I found a pic of a Frog with rear tracks, though I don't know what the setup is. The description says: "Must change the motor of High Torque (example 50T,55T....)". So, yeah, it might grenade with a fast motor.

I don't know if this is new/old, but this is the first time I have seen it. It's snow mobile tracks for the buggy's. Anyone ever used them? I imagine wheels would be more fun, and easier to keep clean, but the curiosity is still there. I'm also curious to see how they handle being caked in mud. Whatta you think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Tracks-set-4pcs-for-TAMIYA-TT-02B-DF-02-Chassis-Snowmobile-/171530270781?hash=item27f000383d:g:c0EAAOSwIrNWFTq4

Thanks. Edit: Ha! I was already following that thread. Even commented in it. Didn't realize it was you in this thread when I asked. -

Got any more pics of that yellow MG? -
I don't know how deep your scratches are, but your could try some Filler primer on top of what you've done and then go over it lightly with some 1200grit paper.

Bush Devil II and Volkswagen Amarok
Kingfisher replied to tamiya_1971's topic in General discussions
Very nice! Looks awesome with the really wide stance. Do you remember what the color is that you painted it? I've got an MX-5 body for another kit, and I am wanting to make it look just like my real MX-5, which is very close to the color your painted your Amarok. -
Had anyone checked tamiyausa prices lately?

If you choose the tab that says Gallery, it only shows the camo one. My guess is that the shark mouth picture was just shown at the bottom to give details on the chassis. -

I found the Coppermix Silvia for sale on TamiyaUSA for $145.00 USD. Original price was $324.00. I purchased it, then copied the link to post the deal here. Now, it's not available. I must have got the last one? https://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-kits-30/4wd-shaft-drive-on-road-(tt)-36110/rc-nismo-coppermix-silvia-58386 Am I to assume that TT01 is an old chassis replaced by TT02 and they were getting rid of stock? -
4800kv in that looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to future posts.

Found the dogbones in Blackfoot iii Parts Bag #9400076 on ebay. Posting info in case anyone else comes along with trouble finding parts. Thanks for the help in searching Peter_B and TurnipJF. -
Also, check to see if Grom Audio has something for it. I have no experience with them or their products, but I've been considering using their kit on my MX-5. http://gromaudio.com/

I didn't think of that. I was searching by model or chassis. Found the tie rods on eBay searching by part number. Thanks! Now, just gotta find the dogbones. -
It's the perfect base. https://www.google.com/search?q=amarok+dakar+rally&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwitjej34orUAhUEOiYKHRzjC-oQ_AUICigB&biw=1920&bih=974#imgrc=_
