Recently, I've learned of Amass' Deans compatible connectors. Try them, they're great and you'll never look back to the old plain style of Deans, since the Amass connectors are much, much easier to unplug.

The car looks great. I use those connectors on all of my cars and really like them.

Right on man!  I should of added Depeche Mode as well!  I'm going to see the Psychedelic Furs in November.  Yeah, they're pretty old now, but it's only 20 minutes away from my house so I'm going to go.  Fall is the perfect season to listen to Siouxsie in my opinion!

Nice. I'd go see them. I saw Gary Numan last December. His sound quality was amazing. Every song sounds just like you hear it on CD, old and new. I can also highly recommend his most recent 3 albums. It's a total change of pace from his earlier work.

I know what you mean about Fall being the perfect season for certain music. For the longest time, I only listened to Type O Negative in the Fall and Winter.

    Here we go:

Thanks! I'm adding that to my list. My M06 Alfa Sprint is getting the buggy treatment. Or, better yet. I now have another reason to get another M-Chassis. Could make a FWD buggy out of M05. That would be interesting.

And Jeff gets a M-03 that he adds crawler axles to  and manage to make the drivetrain work because...well no one knows why you would go with that car but he did.

I read somewhere on here that TL01B suspension will fit an M-chassis, though I cannot confirm it myself.

That's a shaft with a drilled hole for a pin and hex, UM569 has a machined hex as part of the shaft.

It's good to have a selection pack to fall back on 😂

Seems like either one would work, right? With UM506, it'll be just like on the rear. I have plenty of spare hexes. What size hex does UM569 have? 12mm?

I got plenty of spare bearings. Accidentally bought 3 different sets twice, forgetting that I had already gotten them months before.

Well, I've a full RB5, but they are the part numbers , yes.

The part number for the shaft is UM569 and bearings are BRG001TS (although cheaper bearings should be avaialble)

I'd scan eBay for 2wd 12mm hex front ends, a Schumacher cougar one went for £9 the other day.

I already ordered the Kyosho parts that I linked too. For the axles, I found part number UM506 which is listed as "Front Wheel Shaft (RB5)".

The part number for the bearings help. Now I can compare to all of the extra bearings I have for my Tamiya's to see if I have the same size. Thanks for the help.

With the esc arriving, fitted a SP 5.5T motor etc to the optima mid build (in the kyosho section) and got the body (I've badly painted) fitted 🤔😏

Those little crevices in the wing. I struggle with those so badly that I end up wasting half the can of paint trying to get it even in there. Then, when you think you got it, the backing color says "Nope!".

Here people like to watch cars drive around in circles (NASCAR )   Rally racing is totally obscure to most Americans.  I hate NASCAR.

Completely agree. Not many people know of any other racing here besides NASCAR and drag racing. Good luck finding a live F1 race on TV.

I was watching a Stadium Super Trucks race on Youtube, and a coworker came up, saw it, and said "Wow, it's like NASCAR, but for men".

  10. On my RWD TT02, to make it RWD, I have no drive shaft or any of the front drive gear. No diff, axles, etc.. This means that I only have rear brakes and the car requires a bit of effort to get it stopped safely without spinning and/or flipping. A gyro only helps so much. I like the idea of flipping a one way diff so that it remains RWD, but has 4-wheel brakes. My question is, how could I implement this and still be able to prove that my car is RWD in the speed run videos?

M-class fun racing club at the two elementary schools where I teach computers

I don't have any suggestions to help the topic of the thread, but that sentence is pretty amazing considering that when I was in elementary school, I barely knew what an RC car was and computers were something you saw in a science fiction movie. We didn't learn about computers until 6th or 7th grade, and that was a basic intro to how to use the keyboard on a now vintage IBM computer.

Congrats on the move. That's quite the distance. Now you can forget about the triple digit Texas heat and learn how to drive in snow. How are you liking Maine so far?

  12. Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but it's now on TamiyaUSA.

I've a couple of these too - a few runners, nibs and the carbon chassis :-)

They are very scale chassis, I wanted to do a 2WD with 4WD braking on it... wondering if I have a center one-way in the opposite direction will it work? Maybe I will make one.. soon.

Very nice. Do the cutouts help air get to the motor or is it just for scale appearance? Looks good either way.

If you flipped the one-way for braking, would you have 2WD forward and 4WD reverse? That sounds like an interesting idea.
