Moved the battery clamps and added a longer battery strap quick drive on the decking - seems pretty punchy I’ll try it out a bit more tomorrow but I do want to put the extra grease in the diffs JJ

-
Wahoo - the wiltoys 144001 arrived - pretty nippy from China it was £92 delivered (with 3 x 2600mah 2s LiPo) have to say im impressed looks and quality seem high. Not gonna run it until I’ve added some grease to the diffs but here are the initial pics Box is simple and packaged averagely I went for the green one (I wanted the black spoiler) Full metal chassis lots of metal parts JJ

Measure the dog bones JJ
-
Something is incorrect at full extension of my springs (puts the rear end 40mm off the ground) the dog bones sit fully in the wheel cups and 50% in the gearbox cups!! JJ
-
You can get anyone to print your design I get my friend to print stuff from thingiverse regularly JJ
-
So my front drive shafts are 76mm (note the collar halfway along the length) the stand off between the top arm fixing point and the hub rotating point is 12mm And the axle stub protruding from the YR hub is 16mm are you sure you have a bearing in on the inside of the hubs?? JJ
-
You sure those are the correct dog bones? if the lower arm is the correct length it can only be the drive shafts or the drive cups I use yeah racing ones and I don’t have the issue you are seeing im sure my metal drive shafts look different JJ

One of your Qs was does shapeways ship to Australia MCI ships world wide JJ

Finished the Avante a lovely build very heavy though PS16 backed with silver backed with black technigold motor JJ

JJ
-
Will do one tomorrow it’s defo quite square haha JJ
-
Big decals - scalpel and then use a spray of water long thin - cut out and remove a small amount of the backing to position using a scalpel enables you to remove as much of the clear as possible on my Avante I even spent time removing the inside sections and as much of the clear between letters (without making the sticker fragile) and then laid it on using water
-
I keep them because when selling on at some point in the future they will be worth more not that I’m ever selling haha JJ
-
Hahaha - not much patience haha I use a £5 medical scalpel from Amazon and score round them you can cut them really close then JJ
-
Side benefit of getting the C parts is you can also change the bumper the 2 spring approach is ugly So you can remove all these Use the bumper and fixing from the C part JJ

Decided to lower and widen the comical hornet really easy to do..... you need 3 things 1. 2x C parts tree for a WT01 (baja king) #0005688 (£8 each) 2. 2x mantaray drive shafts #9805551 (£8 pair) 3. 2x beetle threaded shafts #9805583 (£4 pair) You need no additional screws or parts or suspension the WT01 parts are a direct swap for the comical lower and upper arms - just longer so - first remove the lower and upper arms front and rear Then assemble the new lower arms with the screws from the original short ones and adding the ball connector for the suspension the swap them over (including the one piece upper arms) You then need to make the steering arms longer using the longer threaded bar (you may want to go for a slightly longer set Of bars - maybe 80mm) and swap out the standard drive shafts with the longer ones and reassemble it all Easy peasy before and after pics and and these are all the parts you have left over JJ
-
Excellent post and add to that the fact that people refuse to admit they are wrong.... Finally, because people don’t like to get into arguments, especially with perceived idiots, then those people continue to believe they are correct JJ

@Bwaaatch my nose is about 10mm off the ground the suspension needs to be stiffer for driving or it will be bottoming out all the time. Personally wouldn’t go lower but just get really stiff suspension if you want to run it on tarmac I like your wheels - links? JJ
