I don’t use it - the loctite medium is cheap enough, lasts years and can be used on your 1:1 car too JJ

In what society have you ever watched stand up? sorry I’m British and taking the P out of myself and everyone is part of society anyway.....I’ll try and be better and change our society for you As I said - you don’t have to read this just like you don’t have to watch reruns on eastenders on Dave JJ -
Schumacher Flexlite 2wd Wheels. Fit DT02 ??
Problemchild replied to toyolien's topic in General discussions
And assuming you are able to do that keeping the bearing recess central to the wheel the outer collar is normally only about 1mm so I’d suggest it would be hard to know the impact of removing 25% I have a load of 2WD disk wheels I don’t need - not looked at the bearing size needed though as came in a bundle with a DEX210 JJ -

Ah yes - let’s remove humour and banter from the world You are the leader of the new humourless society. No one bashes men either - have a wander over to mumsnet and see all the posts from SWMBO bashing husbands You see your role as defending the world against jokes and banter no probs - vid for you to go moan at like I said, if you think my posts are offensive then you are able to report them using the flag icon on each post you've called out my humour - well done I’ll change my ways I promise I’ll try not to diss all us middle aged men who play with toys either - oh wait no that’s my missus and how she refers to us (in jest also - but mainly true) JJ -

Yes - sorry i should have stated that thread lock isn’t for use on plastic or self tappers tbh I didn’t look at the screws they were after - just offered suggestions some options to get stuff I think the first thing the OP needs is a better screwdriver JJ

I’m not saying people can’t read stuff I’m saying that YOU don’t have to read stuff that you don’t like. if you actually consider what this post is about it’s about us men who spend too much money on RC cars - I’m sure all the other men in the world will be along soon to moan at us for tarring them with the same brush you are a laugh a minute mate if you don’t like a post then report it and you can let the site moderators spend time making a decision. sorry if my attempt at humour offends anyone and I certainly don’t mean to be disrespectful to you @El Gecko JJ -

Then dont read it Unless you know the specific guy’s situations then you can’t comment tbh the ex wives are probably bashing their ex husbands with their friend right now too some marriages work some don’t some are like a fairytale some are like a horror everyone has had their own experiences I was honestly being humorous and tbh I’d say that to my wife and she’d tell me all about my foibles - that’s an open and honest relationship and no one is perfect. if we don’t talk then we aren’t being truthful with each other ita great you have a fab marriage but you have to respect that other men and women just don’t JJ -

I think you are missing some of the humour in the posts also I don’t think these posts are the reason there aren’t more female Middle aged Tamiya enthusiasts Just like there aren’t an equal % of men to women over on the Michael Kors handbag sites (again that’s a joke) JJ -
First Q - rounding screws with thread lock 1. Use the correct size screwdriver and 2. use different threadlock https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DVHAAV8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_JMXFYBZ4AZ6BA31MSZ0N?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 secondly, depending on the kit, a screw bag can seriously vary in terms of pence per screw I think I found that something like a Clodbuster screw bag was superb value (for Tamiya) and had a large variety https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383924173864 otherwise look at Ali express for screw packs https://a.aliexpress.com/_vV1XDH

The funny thing is that women think we need them soooo much that their threats are scary to us whereas we think - ooooh there IS.a way out sijgle life cheaper, can speak to/text a woman without facing 100 Qs, can eat/drink what we want, can actually exercise, can live in a house that doesn’t need 5 different rooms for doing “not sleeping”, can stay up late watching **** tv, don’t have to be nice to a mother in law etc etc we are “modern” men now who can cook and clean and iron and tinder makes the other aspects easier than ordering a dominos (which now has to be a 50/50 one because she doesn’t like what you like but a whole pizza is too big) hahahahha JJ -
@Rich_8717 excellent points I wasn’t exposed to the huge range of cars when I was younger. i came to Tamiya quite late in my childhood as an adult I bought the 1 car I always wanted (a lunchbox) and still wasn’t really aware Tamiya was going like it was - I saw the lunchbox advertised on IWOOT as a rere. that sat on the shelf until I saw the beetle rere and when I started googling prices I became way more aware and quite quickly my eyes were drawn to eBay and the cars I used to own - falcon, clod buster and terra scorcher (bought 2nd hand back then and bought second hand now - and restored) the avante and TF evo ordered this month is me being a child again but also being a sensible adult because I never wanted one as a kid I think the TF Evo will be the best driver and at least it has more of a parts support good luck JJ

I think there must have been some stock found somewhere Tamico also had a number of clod block specials come into stock annoyingly I jumped at a 2011 avante reissue just weeks before that - **** JJ

How much better is a £500 80s car than a £100 TT02b? I am just mid-build of a 2011 Avante and have a TF Evo on pre order (I’ve never spent this much on an RC car before) and I won’t be running them. I have a highly modified TT02b running 3s brushless for a 4WD basher, a modified beetle running 3s brushless as a monster truck basher and a DEX210 running 3s brushless as a 2WD basher. obviously people can run what they want i like to see the expensive kits as eye candy and assets that will depreciate very little and I see the £100 models as repairable and disposable JJ

Haha - nah it’s a water cooled flat 4 of course - ahem JJ

RCMart (& Others) now charging 20% VAT to UK
Problemchild replied to toyolien's topic in General discussions
Well the issue I have is that I was made an offer of €100 which I thought was good so accepted it. ONLY once I’d accepted the offer and moved through to payment did it then add VAT not just to the €100 item cost but to the €20 shipping so it ended up costing me €144 not quite the bargain I was after **** it haha JJ -
