  4. I use these Faithfull 24 Plastic Storage Bins with Metal Wall Panel https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004UR2GHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_QlRbDbF32M065 Lidl often sell them v cheap then I dyno print a label for what they are it’s mainly for small parts and I’ve grouped them into models if I get more parts I may group them into types of parts I do also have a tools pot, electrical pot, and general tamiya parts pot JJ

Next will be a comical hornet next month - it will only be my 3rd new build and I will build it with my son 🤪 im having my friend 3D print me some hanging brackets - least he can do for encouraging me to buy more cars ha i have a v small outdoor workshop / insulated shed planned for the end of the month and will insulate it and store all my crap in there. im also currently learning to fly drones FPV so that’s fun and again needs space for piles of crap! thanks again for reading JJ

  11. I’ve also bought some “accessories”
  12. Then a stunning Tamiya Bear Hawk with hobbywing ESC and brushless
  13. So why am I mental? because..... I got myself a falcon 🥰 its tatty but I love it I even bought a sonic cleaner to tidy it up a bit but this is where it all went a bit wrong i found a job lot of Falcon parts and bought those so now I have enough parts to build another 2 (ish) THEN I couldn’t help myself in the past few weeks I’ve also bought... Tamiya Baja King (what a gorgeous chassis this has)
  14. Then I started to look around for an old school terra Scorcher and stumbled across another great deal on ebay came with bag, radio gear, paint, instructions, charger etc etc the nostalgia I felt was unbelievable well worth the money 🥰 I then thought it was time to get my 6yr old involved. I bought a kyosho (I know I know) nexxt. the reason I got this was because it was partly pre assembled but did have quite a bit to do - and it was mega cheap! he enjoyed building it and likes driving it - it has a sport tuned 540 so this just about brings me to summer 2019 (I’m now 42yrs old) when I think I’ve gone a bit mental.
  15. Not sure if this is too self indulgent but I do it with my 1:1 cars so why not do it with my 1:10 ones background - a friend got me into RC cars back in school around 1990 (I was 13yrs old) when he bought his beetle into school for “show and tell” - Pete it’s all your fault (he’s on here and we talk Tamiya almost daily even though we’ve not seen each other in person since about 2001) i was hooked (I have one of those “must have must have” personalities) I had no money so I never had a tamiya from new I started off with a falcon, swapped it for a hornet, bought a second hand clod buster, sold it for a terra Scorcher. that was my childhood experience of tamiya RC. Roll forward to Xmas day 2006 and I finally got my first brand new tamiya to build (I’m now 30yrs old) and my obsession for a lunchbox is fulfilled - albeit a ReRe. i spent all day building it and nipping out during Xmas dinner to give the shell another coat or yellow. It wasn’t driven - even though it had a full radio gear set up. I was happy just seeing it on the shelf for the next 10 years or so until I saw news of the beetle ReRe - hmmmmm So Xmas day came again (now I’m 40yrs old) and so did a brand new ReRe beetle. loved building it and drove this one properly - jumps and crashes and rolled it etc A few years ago I decided I wanted a buggy - and my love for the terra Scorcher had me looking at the neo-scorcher but as luck would have it, a TT02b-MS came up on eBay shelf Queen all radio gear, motor and ESC so jumped at the chance. But obviously I wanted a neo Scorcher shell - and what’s the most cost effective way of buying shell and stickers? Buying the whole kit hahah so new shell ready to go onto the MS chassis and ready for more power (see later)
  16. The new set up is surviving a brushless 3s set up at the moment not that I can find many places with enough space to run it JJ
  17. I can’t wait to get myself a comical hornet the driver is spot in and the car is a real nod to my original hornet but with extra fun tbh the frog and hornet and grasshopper are a bit dull looking at them no so I love this take on them JJ
  18. Straight swap apart from slightly modding the gear at the end of the longitudinal shaft - needs 1mm taking off the metal collar
  19. Dragging up this topic I found this when searching how to fit my DF-02 diff and ended up using my own info! God has it been that long!!??!! so fitted the diffs today - really easy. Hadn’t got round to doing them because I was having no issues until I fitted a GoolRC brushless combo and a 3s LiPo. pics of them being fitted
  20. The drive shafts pop out because the way the trailing arm is fitted is a pretty poor design The thing about the ball diff is that it costs as much as half a whole new beetle the clamps are working ok for me i don’t have the tyres glued and they provide almost a slipper clutch effect to protect the gear box I’ve just transferred my brushless set up into the beetle and it’s all holding up ok JJ
  21. i bought some clamps off a tamiya club member (i did a fitting guide) i'm running a sport tuned the issue is that as power goes into the diff, the diff cogs being angled try and try and push the gearbox apart and then slip JJ
  22. i got everything from Yeah Racing £11 for the steering set i'm running a brushless with the tamiya ESC and a normal battery and the diffs have been ok - i have a set of metal ones ready to go in just in case its a really good platform JJ
  23. Like you, I had a falcon itch that needed to be scratched and just picked one up for ok(ish) money and now in thee process of cleaning it all up i remember how poor the bathtub chassis was and how easy it was to snap the whole front end off - but this one is pretty solid Just the shell thats wrecked in the standard places (front suspension area, rear suspension area and spoiler. I won't be running it though JJ
