Also updated the dying beetle shell

having 3S brushless going through the chassis takes its toll but man it’s fun
and thanks to @Xeostar for designing the gearbox brace for me (which I hope is now benefiting lots of you)

and yes I had to move away from UJ and paint my dog bones day glow orange - you’ll undergrad if you are a beetle runner
But a new shell painted black (retrospectively a bad choice)

Then there was the top force evo
With some bling

With some Custom RC parts braces (check them on FB)
not a bad build - got a 3 sum now

Few updates (busy time with work)
Firstly got a wl toys 144001 and put a cool Phat bodies shell on and some cheap hop ups - not a bad little car tbh and nice looking that the 1/10 one

Scale next to the TT02b
Hop ups package

Interested if he ever started up again
I ordered some Falcon and beetle decals off eBay and they were absolutely god awful
Mci are excellent but not as thin as Tamiya

Absolutely @Problemchild, all Clods need a Chev Grille. I’m definitely not a fan of the 4x4x4 grille, would rather the original with no bow tie than that
Rocking horse poo at the moment though
when I did my resto, there were a few about
ideas??
oh and I’m inspired to order the original clod decals from MCI

Love this - exactly what I was gonna do with my clod black
already did some black stuff when trying options on the re re clod

I think I really need a Chevy grille for the clod black

Massively hopped up TT02b neo shelled MS edition running 3s LiPo brushless

Clod restored and lighting kit added

TT02 is the dullest - maybe because it’s just so common and a bit boring
but it does have a million hop ups

I think you can get away with the comicals because people realise you are out for a laugh

There are some very different interpretations of 'worst' here...
Most complex...now, I love the building, so to me this interpretation is actually 'best'
. So presumably something like a truck or a tank would fit this bill, not that I've ever built either (hmmmmm!!)
Most difficult to maintain...as pointed out above, the Hotshot and Novafox are both a bit of a PITA if you need to work on them after running.
Most 'quirky'...that Hotshot suspension, the Bigwig steering. I love my Bigwig
Most 'meh'.....I agree with the comments on the M06, out of the box it's pretty dreary
Most 'iconic'...entirely subjective, but the SRBs seem to get a lot of votes
My personal experience of the 'worst' Tamiya I have built and run is the Monster Beetle. The chassis is big, clunky, ugly and agricultural, the gearbox seems to operate on blind faith rather than precision, personalisation (eg wheel choices) is really limited, and it feels like a heavy sponge. If I look through my fleet, it's the only one I would sell. Iconic or not.
I accept that all of the above is 100% subjective
You’ve clearly not put a 3s LiPo brushless combo in it then - it’s amazing

and a @Xeostar gearbox brace
what a beast

Because of the power going through my beetle, the shell was destroyed
new shell
new look
And sporting the red brace

I need to replace my beetle shell and get the 3s brushless beast running again
it’s an amazing car with the reliability it needs now
i know I’ve posted this before but….

He will claim he did everything he could but it was the postal service that failed you
you can contact the shipping agent yourself
he may be selling the same thing 10 times and using the 1 tracking info

Had a frog bitd, and hated it due to the gearbox woes, always fancied a Brat, and put off by the aforementioned.
By the cracking feedback, looking like I'll be keeping my eye out on eBay for a Brat...😳😁
Defo - go for it
