**** you guys not being quick to talk me out of these things......
Jadlam had it for £75
given the shell was £15 and the decals were £10 and tyres and wheels are £25 i've got a badword of a lot for the extra £25
given i've been offered £40 to pay for extra parts by SWMBO then i think i've got a good deal haha

i note that a few online places actually do a full metal pinion gear set for the TT02b

ok so a dull sunday evening and access to ebay and a few beer tokens and this is what i have bought (mainly from the far east) to upgrade the already formidable TT02b MS
Servo Horn (99p delivered):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361600175518?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Steering upgrade (£15 delivered):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121897942861?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Alu 12mm Hex (£1.69 delivered):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141894251692?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
and now the wait begins haha
Also still looking for my neo scorcher shell and decals and given a full kit is only £80, my stupid brain is thinking that buying the kit is better VFM as i will have a HUGE pile of spares and a new set of wheel and tyres - thoughts???
JJ
-
i'll post up the cheapo parts i've bought in my thread

JJ
-
superb - this is what i was going to do BUT ended up getting an MS as it had most of those parts
am now gonna get a Neo Scorcher shell BUT looking at the cost of a shell and stickers, for £40 more i can get a Neo kit and have LOADS of spares then

i'm not 100% sure
seems to be a common issue though tbh
I have tie wrapped the servo saver for now and awaiting the servo horn and bearingd steering kit
its no biggy at present
JJ
-
ok ta - had a measure and mine are 5.5mm with quite a bit of thread showing
so i've ordered a set of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141894251692?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
£1.69 delivered can't be bad
also if the wheel nut's locking is compromised they will make nice ear rings??
JJ
-
yeah its for the TT02B MS
the wheels on it (black rims) are 1.25" and 1.5"
the pink MS rims are much wider
i'll keep looking haha
JJ

just bought yeah racing steering kit for the TT02 - £15 delivered from HKG
the only thing with those hex are they are 7mm and that seems a lot
