  1. Thanks all, I managed to find a few unused 5mm x 9mm ball studs (9805611) in my spares box, so have installed these for now. Hopefully they are sufficient as they are bit longer than the standard ball stud. Now awaiting the last few parts to complete the build
  2. Hi, I'm building a Blitzer Beetle and have been researching which hop ups/improvements I should make whilst building it. I have installed the TL01 suspension shaft set and also bought the DT-02 turnbuckle set. I'm having one small issue with this, the connection point for the rear hub is too wide for any of the included screws, so my thoughts were either a set of 5mm ball connector (stud) or a 12-16mm grub screw to mount the ball connector nut supplied with the turnbuckle kit (I've seen this method used by Tamiya on the DT-02 MS). I wondered if anyone had any comments on the merits of either option in terms of durability as this will be a runner? Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi All, I've decided to slim down my Tamiya collection and as a treat, get myself a buggy for running at local track (astro) practice sessions and possibly at local BMX tracks. I don't have the time to commit to regular races so I got myself a DT02 Sand Viper having considered both the 02 and 03. Having read the info on RCRacer and some build threads here, I felt the DT02 was the better option and had more upgrades included out of the box (CVAs, bearings, metal drive shafts). However I'm now wondering whether I should have gone for the DT03 as it's newer and may well have a better parts availability in the future and possibly better lipo support? I've also considered the Zahhak but DN-01/TRF201 parts seem harder to come by in the UK. Overall my goals are goods spares availability, easy maintenance and robustness.
