  1. It is. Be prepared to do something special with the body mounts. I made 35 and 38 mm copy of the original to make it sit correctly. This one will be getting the polka dot treatment. I have thought about making up a real grill also as opposed to the sticker they come with.
  2. Looks great. Did you strip the wheels before painting?
  3. Nice zoom in! It was a spatula that died. I use it as a picklefork to pop rod ends from ball studs
  4. Thanks. Wheels are not 3d printed, I will start a thread in the monster truck section though as I am curious for opinions.
  5. I've been putting this little Clod together from a spares and a roller I'd bought for the Ally bits it came with Before is the red one
  6. Nice score. I see what looks like aluminum shocks and bellcranks and spring mounts. If your in the market to put a Blackfoot shell on it I know a guy Also, agree about the drive shaft, I'd twisted one clean off with a brushless.
  7. Yellow frame/transmission though if I were A betting man.
  8. I just found one of those recently as well. There is an M01 mini in the attic that will get this.
  9. This just showed up. Very happy to have one, still wrapped in plastic. Was this anyone here? Also, just after I learned that the GT1 911 is coming back so stablemates hopefully...
  10. What's your 1:1 that wears minilites? If I read the specs right they are a 50 mm or 1.9" wheel. Seems a bit big to me but stretching a set of 1.7s may look right and hold shape well enough with firm foams. The struggle is trying to maintain enough sidewall height.
  11. The protoform vta series may be appropriate. Comes in a front and rear width. I would think that 4 fronts would be appropriate. https://www.prolineracing.com/vintage-trans-am/vta-front-tires-26mm-mounted.asp
  12. Interesting point. Which part on that tree is being suggested to increase strength?
  13. My mod clod came with a aluminum plate across the bottom of the tub, seems as though it was a very period mod. Check Crawford for it, should be near the same money for better.
  14. @Saito2 Paint 'em. Someone did their Agrios with different wheel cutouts, the grill cut and stock tires wheels in all black I believe. Sharp truck, the wheels look much better with some color. You could even do a gold center over the satin chrome that I wouldn't mind seeing. The product I used was in one of my videos, I can't recall what I used to get the gold finish off hand.
  15. I just managed to find this page, thanks for the tip. https://www.clodtalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=31051&start=30
  16. So I am out of the country for the next few weeks. I have a set of steel shafts on the way. Until then, I cannot find good info for using Traxxas parts to get the truck going. Is there a link to somewhere with a parts list?
  17. Regarding reversed motors, the difference lies in the clocking of the endbell. For clod use, I would find a matching pair of we'll say 17 x1 turn motors. Note the tick marks on the motor can. If your rear motor was advanced an amount, the front motor would be advanced that same amount in the opposite direction for a reverse rotation motor. With the voltage supply reversed as well, everything should be groovy. I haven't done this yet but those would be the mechanics of it. Without extensive reading up on the topic, motor timing has to do with efficiency at different rpm ranges. High timing being overall faster (rpm) at the sacrifice of low rpm efficiency.
  18. I'm sure it's the same. I built a super clod last year, my oG mod clod is built the same. No reason to expect anything different. It was/is a solid design that just works.
  19. When I built my WO I loaded up the diff with AW grease. Been running it on stock tires with a 4000kv brushless, under full power it is nearly uncontrollable when running on loose dirt. As an aside, I can see that your Webers have a fuel leak. My 1:1 fun car is running 40 IDFs and they only turn gold when the float bowls leak.
  20. The Super Clod Buster is equipped with two motors and tightly sealed gearboxes that have been molded as one piece with axle housing.... From https://www.tamiya.com/english/products/58321clod/index.htm
