  1. This is now sorted thanks to Neil @ TimeTunnel, if I was an experienced RCer I'd have very red cheeks now! It turns out there is a (very small, unmarked) dial on the top right corner of the transmitter, which evidently is used to restrict the steering. I'm guessing one of my boys must have turned it down to zero / off (it's textbook idle fiddling for them!) therefore no steering response. I've turned it back up to 'max' now, and the steering is back to normal. Hope this might help others in the future - all part of the learning curve!
  2. Hi all, I'd appreciate some help with troubleshooting a lack of steering on a re-re Blitzer Beetle. I'm a relative newb so please go easy! Bought & built late last year, only had the chance to take it out four or five times since, when it ran perfectly. Got it out today, turned on, forward and reverse fine but no response from steering. Tried reseating servo plug on RX in CH1, wiggling cable etc, no joy. So swapped servo plug on RX with ESC plug (so servo in CH2 / ESC in CH1) and steering worked (using fwd/rev on TX) but no drive from left/right controls on TX. So it would appear that the servo & ESC are good, so I'm guessing it must be either the CH1 port on the RX, or the left/right stick on the TX which is faulty. Does this sound right, or have I missed something? And is there any way of working out which component is faulty, without a spare of either? If it helps, components are: TX - Carson Reflex Stick Pro3 RX - Carson Reflex Wheel Pro3 ESC - Tamiya TBLE-02S Servo - Carson (standard one in kit) Many thanks for any help or advice. Cheers!
  3. Ah, I hadn't thought of axle length. Not to worry, just thought it might be an easier / cheaper alternative to getting some white wheels. While I'm here, could anyone point me in the direction of some alternative tyres that would be more suited to 50/50 on/off-road use? I've obviously trawled through forum posts and earmarked Dirt Hawgs and Geolanders, but wondered if there were any slightly more 'economical' models? They don't need to be stellar performers, as long as they don't wear too quickly! Many thanks...
  4. Hi all, My first post and hopefully not too naive a question - will Sand Scorcher wheels (and tyres) fit on a Blitzer Beetle, without any modding? In other words are they hex nut rear / bearing front and are the axle diameters the same? Many thanks!
