  1. ok, after several adjustments, esc, radio, motor changes, this problem will not disappear - i have to build a boat with this waterproof esc :-)
  2. thx, no did recalibrate every time, will look for radio settings tomorrow, will turn throttle to 100%
  3. Hi, perhaps someone has an idea to solve this problem. I still have some new in box esc´s and brushed motors. So i put in one of my TT-02 an ansmann sirius 12 esc and an orion core 11x3 motor wir racing brushes, which I soldered saturday. So far so good, programming is the same as mtroniks viper esc series. No problem at all to do this procedure, reverse off an full punch. No cut offs etc, runs very strong, but........ If I´m coming from full speed to brake, it brakes for just half a second, but after that the car goes in a kind of a neutral position an it rolls of without braking anymore. I can give full punch while this moment and ist accellerates very strong. My initial brake setting is on 60 %. Tried a smaller motor - same problem, esc setting with reverse same problem, initial brake setting 20% same problem.. thx 20170326_093303 by DéDé1963, auf Flickr
  4. 100 USD is a very good price ..... what I forgot : If you´re running bigger/stronger motors on TT-02 or TB 03, especially with much torque, the phenomen of torque steer will automatically occure. With the TB 04 Tamiya solved the problem on shaft driven cars. TA05/07 no torque steer
  5. Those TT-02 chassis are very good to start, do this and look where your challenges are no further comment on the TA-06.. :-) @ Jonathon on the TA 05 you can play with different tensions of front and rear belt. This is impotant for braking and acceleration on some tracks. The more powerful your motor is, the more impotant become these little facts If you want more understeer out of the curves give the front belt more tension. If you want more oversteer while braking and acceleration give the rear belt more tension,,,less wear on the two pinion pulleys, one pulley TA07 has more wear, one belt has to be tenioned more often but the TA07 is a very good chassis, I´ll buy one
  6. the key on a good handling TT-02s/r or standard is the rebound travel on the rear shocks and the hardness of the front springs, if you deal wrong with this you´ll get a total oversteering car
  7. spares no problem at all here in europe, The ta-05 has in all parts less play and less wobble and shaking, less friction and it is lighter. if you become a good driver, you´ll go almost to the level of a TRF I don´t know how your skills are, the ball diff adjustment is the key in this car. stiff in front and less stiff rear I have 3 ot them I love this car My experience: Same motor, same ratio ta05 and TT-02 -what a difference in acceleration and handling
  8. The tt-02S is a good base to start, however I would recommend a TB-03,TB04, TA05, or TA07 The TA-05 is my favorite chassis, and I drove already nearly everything fom the Tamiya line up touring cars The TA-05/Ver.II/IFS.. is out of the box nearly perfect for budget racing. The only thing I would recommend - no front stabilizer You can get it cheap on ebay or so..
  9. nice, what´s the weight of the TA-07 chassis incl. wheels?
  10. ok Prescient thx, found this http://www.ebay.de/itm/Regenabdeckungen-fur-das-TAMIYA-TT-02-Chassis-Regendeckel-Regenhaube-/172535852107?hash=item282bf02c4b:g:dqYAAOSwPcVV1JWV
  11. Hi, well I have this wonderful TT-02 Subaru and want to run it sometimes in the dirt.(no heavy mud) Added already ball bearings, longer shocks, the right springs. How do you protect a chassis like this against sand, stones and water.? THX 20160810_143613 by DéDé1963, auf Flickr Tamiya TT-02 Subaru WRC by DéDé1963, auf Flickr
  12. my chassis choice depends on surfaces I drive. On the clean track or clean parking lot I always drive my TA05 or TB04. On dirty ground the TT-02 has a big advantage with the closed gear box, however the TT-02 or even R is far apart concerning the handling quality to TA05-07 or TB 03-04
  13. Finished my TB-04 Lexus RCF Sustina body today. Wasn´t easy, but looks nice 20170309_173640 by DéDé1963, auf Flickr 20170309_174409 by DéDé1963, auf Flickr 20170311_090922 by DéDé1963, auf Flickr
