I got a mail form Kamtec yesterday saying thay hed made a mold of the original scorpion body(a new one, not the old one I sendt them), hoping to hear from them soon...

For those of you that were interested in buying Tomahawk bodies I have good news. I got the first test bodies today, the vacuum forming company made the bodies in two different thicknesses. I was wondering if anyone was interestd in the thicker body, might be better if you're going to cut the windows and use the driver inside, as the roof wouldn't break as easy as with the thinner Lexan. Both thicknesses are thicker then the original wich in my mind is too thin. Sweet car Shodog!! You say that the nylon front suspension kit is made by Moore’s Racing Products (MRP), and the rear nylon suspension is made by Houge Enterprises. Are those made spesific for the scorpion, or are they for any other car (I remember RC-10 were using trailing arms on some convertion kits?). I see you have bought the crp 'front skid plate' I've been looking at that but couldn't figure out if it would fit as the screws doesent seem to fit with the scorpion frame, is it really for the scorpion or is it for some other car ? Great work!!!

There is a replica frog body and wing and 5 crp frog bumpers a crp skid plate(+ original skid plate) and red crp shock towers + alot more(see the links). I've had other people asking me if I was going to make more than one 1:5 car, and to that I have to say that I really dont know yet. I will see if I can make one car before I promise to make any more of these. But from the cost of sandcasting the parts and all the work it would not be cheap sandcasting one part is about 400 Nok, and I would need to sandcast two front arms two rear, two front arm holders, two of the pieces that hold the front wheels, and a gearbox(hardest one I guess?). 9 pieces * 400 Nok each = 3600 for the pieces only... And I am not excactly a mechaninc (I'm a software engineer,lol) so the progress is very slow, as you probably already have seen(havent done much the last months).[|)]

Thanks for the good feedback Erik. The Tomahawk bodies is first priority right now, as I don't have a dayjob at the moment. I will try to sell some of the Tomahawk bodies(when they are finished) to get some money so I can have a professional company sandcast the suspension components for the 1:5 car. I've read a book about sandcasting but it seems kind of scary(lol). So I decided I better get someone who knows what they are doing to do it for me. In the mean time I'm trying to make the tomahawk mold as perfect as I can before sending it in for vacuum forming. Next think is ofcorse to start making the molds for the suspension arms..things takes so much longer than I think, damit..[}][}][}]

Actually I have an old beetle body(with paint) but I don't have enough mold making material for it.. Anyone want to buy it? Seems like I have to 'produce' the Tomahawk body first(as I don't have money for more than one body right now). There is one thing that I forgot to say and that is the Turbop Scorpion body is body only, I dont have a wing. The only wing I have is the one from the original scorpion, but I haven't made a mold of that one yet.Want to wait and see if I get any feedback from Kamtec.co.uk first.

Kamtec.co.uk makes an Optima shell! They were also supposed to make me an original Kyosho scorpion shell. I sendt them a body and a wing in june but I havent heared much since then. Hope to hear from them..

I'm sorry Ideal2K and Dirt Racer but I'm only interested in Kyosho as these are the cars that I collect. The lexan in the original bodies was a bit thin and I want to use thicker lexan in the ones I'll make (about 0.75 mm if I can without loosing to much detail..
