  1. As per tit;e Kyosho one way diff. Thanks.
  2. @tim.senecal Yep, there is some good info there and some good products. @mtbkym01 My only comments would be, buy a kevlar reinforced hull and if you go the cat route, buy a twin motor hull with batteries mounted in hulls and not mounted on the tunnel. Have a look at these links for inspiration... https://www.mhz-powerboats.com/shop/en/ https://www.hydromarine.de/index.php?language=en
  3. @mtbkym01 Not wanting to hijack your thread but would it be ok just to post the build here? It will be slow as it's summer, nearly, here in the UK and I've got other demanding hobbies. So what about you, have you decided in what direction you want to go in? Electric, nitro, petrol, small, medium, large, scale, non-scale, hydro's, v-hull/mono, submerged props, surface piercing, jet? If you are looking for a quality hull on your side of the world, look for sonic racing. He use to have a web site, you'll probably find him on FB. IIRC his name is Danny.
  4. @Jonathon Gillham I know nothing of yachts but remember liking Graupners Rubin when I was younger. IIRC it had a folding prop.
  5. @Gebbly They are good for about 70mph. IC. Large does not equate to fast, just looks good out on the water. Build process is fairly straight forwards, although some builders like to complicate things. But this is also what I like about boats, essentially you have a blank canvas to make it your own. The Engel stuff is expensive, but are a quality manufacturer. Looks like they don't do the Typhoon kit anymore, which is a shame. Typhoon class is Russian.
  6. @Gebbly Large scale Yamato is really cool as for subs Engel do a Typhoon class which is just epic.
  7. If the moderators approve, I will start one in the build section. In the meantime, here are a couple of vids of Victory 44 sister in action. 233cm hull length, 30kg, 60cc and 16hp. And some big cat racing...
  8. Got a few Kyosho F1 GTR's LT NIB. I was fortunate enough to have a tour of where they built the F1. The P1 is a stunner too.
  9. I've got a few boats, mainly hydro's. I am doing a rebuild on this, so if anyone is interested I can document it in the Builds section.
  10. Or pressurise the pipe and add heat to dent. TBH I'll leave it as is. If I find a cheap Novarossi pipe, then I'll swap it out. I was going to dispute the Custom fees, using form HMRC BOR286, but then just accepted it.
  11. @Kpowell911 Thanks. Me too! When this first came out I lusted over it so badly but could not afford it. And that Toyota TS020 body just finished it off. The car is brand new, never been run and the 9 port engine is so tight. It's a shame it has a little dent in the pipe. I was going to run it but as it's so perfect, now having second thoughts. Oh I don't know.
  12. Found this on ebay. Apart from ebay using a higher exchange rate and not listening when you tell them. Being charged stupid amount by Customs and then Parcelforce adding their bit, I still think I got a good deal. All new apart from starter box being used 5 times and engine just run in. The only disappointing thing was the dent in the pipe, as the car was perfect.
  13. And Hara. Side brace. Modified belt tensioner and home made battery strap.
  14. Mod chassis. Pretty much done. Side brace. As this engine has a thicker back plate, pull start engine, I had to add 2mm spacers to push the side brace further out. Luckily, it just cleared the pulley.
  15. Stock chassis. Transponder mount, rear brace, brake lever and linkage set installed. Side brace and belt tensioner also installed.
  16. Rear brace and brake actuator.
  17. Bear in mind esc's and motor's will have a rpm limit.
  18. M 800STD

    Capo GTR

A little pricey but the level of detail and functionality is awesome.
  19. Mod chassis has Mod 1 gears. Hara chassis has Mod 0.8 gears.
  20. Engines and pipes in for the Mod and Hara chassis. Stock chassis will remain without.
