  1. Yes it has de-laminated, just calling it film for now. On my build I had the same issue. I removed the layer and gave it a rub down with some fine wet and dry. Came out sweet and not a lot of effort needed.
  2. On the battery plate. Looks like it's lifting on the edges.
  3. Are you going to remove the film from the plate?
  4. @Toolmaker72 That's going to be epic.
  5. If engine has not been run, observe the break in procedure in manual. Just check head bolts, exhaust and carb bolts are nipped up and give it a go. Try not to over extend pull start cord. You may experience hydro lock. Just remove plug and pull the pull start a few times, to remove excess fuel. If engine seems to have too high compression when pulling the pull start, back the plug out a little. This can be re tightened when engine is running. Also, it's worth getting some after run oil, as nitro fuel can cause corrosion if left for a long time. Good luck!
  6. Yeah, I knew it would. The only reason it got retired was because my starter died.
  7. @bRIBEGuy As much as you deem it to be. A little bit of research would not do you any harm. As XT and EC connectors were mentioned, and in the interest of consistency, here are some continuous amp values taken from the Amass site; JST: --- 2.0mm: --- 3.5mm: 25 to 30A XT60: 20 to 35A Deans/T-Plug: 20A EC3: 25A 4.0mm: 45A EC5: 40A 6.0mm: --- 8.0mm: 125A LMT Motoren; 6.0mm: 400A not stated continuous or max Castle Creations; 4.0mm: 75A max 8.0mm: 300A max With 6.0mm and 8.0mm connectors, speed run guys have been pulling in the region of 500A without any issues. This is verified by their logs. Just because I disagree, which I am entitled to, hardly constitutes dogpiling. I'm not sure what your issue is but there is no need for your tone. You could of just asked instead of having a rant. It's not about calling anyone out but just a disagreement, which you clearly don't understand.
  8. So back on this. Parts arrived a while ago and fitted. The only other thing I had to purchase was 17mm hex drives, as the originals were 19mm, which allowed me to use other wheels. Just need to do a full chassis set up, electrics, fuel lines and engine tune. Oh and paint new body, McLaren 720.
  9. @RC Perspective Lol, no need to get upset. Only responding to a post you made.
  10. Most, if not all, of these amp values are wrong.
  11. Use 15% Nitro with OS8 glow plug, assuming it does not have turbo head. Here's a great video, if you don't know how to tune...
  12. The re-build has been pretty straight forwards so far, as the car was in good condition. Made easier with the purchase of parts 5 years ago. Parts replaced so far; front gearbox case, rear gearbox case, center diff uprights, suspension boots, steering balls and plastic ball ends, fuel tank, motor mounts, air filter, carburetor throttle arm boot, exhaust silicone gasket, exhaust silicone joiner. Waiting on new servo and steel screw.
  13. This is what I'm doing...
  14. twin motor?
  15. 1/4 scale drag car?
  16. Edited because I miss read.
  17. ok, so on road, off road, crawler, large wheeled? Basically what discipline? Is that a TP motor?
  18. I wouldn't say that, as it is really a great buggy. If you want challenging then I don't think it will be an RC car/buggy unless you scratch build.
  19. I was going to suggest an MP when I saw your comment in another thread mistaking a car for 1/8 scale. It's a fantastic car, but I wouldn't call it challenging.
  20. In short, yes. Kyosho Super Tens also had fans. So this is the first Kyosho Super Eight Landmax. They did do another version and I think that was it. It was a .21 engined rally car and touring car. Shells included Mitsubishi Lancer, RS Escort, Subaru Impreza, Lancia Stratos, Toyota Corolla, Nissan GTR, Volvo S40, Alfo Romeo 156 and a Stadium Truck (F150?) Dimensions were, Length:585, WB:325, width:250 and weighed about 3.2kg. There were quite a few options available, including 2 speed. Because of it's width, it rolled a lot. Got fed up with this and fitted buggy arms from the Inferno DX and utilised many option parts from this series and the MP chassis series, hence the title.
