I've only bench tested and it made me laugh. It does work perfectly. Reminded me of 2 speeds on nitro cars as you can hear a definite tone change. I will admit, I am reluctant to run the R version as it is in mint condition. I have changed gear ratios and think it will be suitable with brushless motors too.

Cell temp not ambient temp.

Cracking job! Mock HT leads?

@Superluminal I would take the approach of using paint remover on the area and re-spray.

Oh. There are a couple of members in Japan. Maybe ask them?

Make them? Dimensions: inner diameter 5mm outer diameter 6mm width 2.1mm -
Made shorter to fit GT1 Porsche body. Running foams, 30mm at rear. It will only go so fast due to limited gearing. Thinking of using Yokomo shocks to help, very good experience with them - so smooth. I'll let you know if I manage to tame the beast.

Maybe try the other vendor?

Good. Was very rare.

Lipo. Lipos have a higher discharge rate when warm.

I don't know as I am still building it. Also changed the wheelbase to 238mm and will be running 3s brushless. The only other thing I want to change is the dampers, for something super smooth.

Initial tear down done. Needed the Dremel more than a screw driver. I will admit that I am concerned about this build due the rarity and amount of parts required.

Needless to say, if you use the steel item, you'll need steel clutch bell. If parts are hard to find you might want to look at MP/DX parts. -
Are you going to do the front one way?

I will always favour Sanyo cells, now part of the Panasonic group. -

I would expect a 3000 mAh Ni-Cd to last same/very similar time to 3000 mAh Ni-MH. The change from Ni-Cd to Ni-MH was due to their abilty for higher mAh. It's LiPo that drops. -

Spur gear, wasn't there a steel replacement? I swapped mine out because the red spur gear was prone to damage. I would also recommend replacing the plastic disk brakes with the fiber ones. -

Same as Ni-Cd, performance reduction as they deplete. -
Is there a Sound Module with music playback???
M 800STD replied to Frog Jumper's topic in General discussions
I have not used any. Was doing a little research when @Lee1075 was looking for a unit. https://www.mr-rcworld.co.uk/shop/realtime-engine-sound-playback-module/ -
One other thing I did was to purchase the Lancia 037 front bumper and trimmed it to shape of the body to support it. Also gives you the option of mounting foam bumper
-
You can also buy a tube of CF to make the gear shafts.
