Okay, here goes. I hate the Tamiya Falcon, I hated it on sight when I was 10 and still think it horrible now im pushing 50, I think the body shape is ugly, worse than the striker or even the saint dragon in proportion. The odd sized yellow wheels don't help the side profile either. Freddie Wilson must need his eyes testing, its the last turkey in the shop for me.

Today, we went and churned up some mud.

I have a 15T Holmes Retro sport motor in my Blitzer. It ran fine all day on track last week.

I tried a set of drag wheels and tyres on my Gen 1 Mad Van. I’m not sure whether I like them or not yet 🤔

A delivery came from Pargustore today. I know they say sand scorcher but I think I might try these on my Frog.

I don’t know of any and I believe the lunchbox and WW2 front wheels won’t fit the MB. Maybe you could remove the gold plating with bleach or oven cleaner taking them back to bare plastic and painting them?

Yes, that sounds about right. There are tables provided but these are in short supply at the busier meetings so if you have one it might be a good idea to bring it. Also an extension lead as you might not be able to get set up near a socket. It’s very much an informal track day, I usually take 4 cars, with a mix of 2wd and 4wd buggys plus something daft like a clod to get in everyone else’s way.

The next Tamiya Junkies meet at Robin Hood Raceway is on Saturday 4th March.

The super stock motors are much faster than the 23T would suggest. I’d go for a super stock BZ in the rally chassis

Today I finally finished my Christmas monster / Blitzer / scorcher mash up project.

It seems that the majority of us are fans of the BBX. I wonder if we’d have reacted the same if Tamiya had named it Super Fighting Buggy or Super Champ?

I’d like to know this too. If it’s unpainted I’ll definitely buy one although the blue / white is crying out for a Rothmans cigarette livery.

I think I want one too, I wonder if the brushless motor is inclded with the kit?

Its a lovely looking thing, I bet it won't be cheap.
