  1. The last sighting of my Thunder Dragon kit leaving the factory.
  2. I built the VQS hi caps using the longest bottom ball ends I could find and bought the brackets from the Super Hotshot. The brackets were surprisingly tricky to find for such a recent re re kit, but I suppose everything is at the moment.
  3. The body is a copy of ones made by JG Dart in the 1980s. The wings come with the body set.
  4. I finally finished fitting the Hi-cap dampers onto my Hotshot. I decided to keep the front monoshock, mostly for the looks but fitted with a much softer spring from a DT02 friction shock. The front is still quite soft but the monoshock allows for easy preload adjustment. I’ve not had chance to road test it yet but I love the look.
  5. That’s right. This is Jun Watanabe with Satoshi Maezumi (Paisen Rc) showing off some Blockhead Motors cars, including the Wild One. I’m hoping the new Wild one will be a replica of the blue one here. Apparently the new wild one will be launched on the Tamiya live stream this weekend.
  6. The word on the street is that these are a Japanese market only release.
  7. RC Kicks YouTube channel is reporting this too, along with a Jun Wantanbe (blockhead motors) special edition Wild One 🤔
  8. Just a heads up that the next Tamiya Junkies meet is on Saturday 24th July at Robin Hood Raceway.

  10. The body has potential, I just hope it’s not pre painted only. I’d like to see a black special version of this. i don’t like the wheels, I’ve never been a fan of this style but that’s easily rectified. It’s good to see that Paranoid Perry is back in employment at his ripe old age. It just proves that he should never have been so paranoid all along.
  11. I have an IKEA Kallax shelf unit to house all my clutter. The cars fit okay (apart from the clod) but stick out slightly from the shelf.
  12. Believe it or not this is a first for me but I got bored waiting for my Thunder Dragon to arrive.
  13. The next Tamiya Junkies meeting is planned for Saturday June 26th at the Robin Hood Raceway https://fb.me/e/2duMpvL6j I’d better get my cars ready
