So, What Have You Done Today?

Any chance of a link or hint? Not on Facebook so can't search on there. I'm assuming UK based as it £.. 😁
  4. That's so cool! Also a universal hinge in its jaw...

Just a new mechanism box for my Super Hotshot and a Hobbywing 1060 to go in it. The old 20 year old Nosram doesn't seem to be able to power the servo sufficiently anymore sadly. I'd also tried to convert it to a M-06 steering link set up.. unsuccessfully obviously!

That looks great, hope the body is released separately.

    Tamiya 58667 Audi Quattro Rally

If this comes on an XV-01 I'm all over it! Been stalling over an Astute or Top Cat as I've a fair few buggies so a proper off road Audi Quattro would be awesome... Fingers crossed..

The old just spend another £60 to save £3.50 on postage... We'll it would be rude not to! 😁

I have a few times, they cover and last well but I find I have to do more coats than the equivalent PS spray to ensure the depth of colour. They are larger and better value however, but I think its best to go in with Tamiya PS first then back with the Core if a more custom mettalic colour. Solids seem to be on par with PS.

    Juls’s DB01 vs DB02 dual build thread

Great write up, having never seen either in the wild, makes me want to hunt one of them out... Looking forward to the end results 👍

Added lights and some 1/10 gun metal touring wheels to finish up the Pumpkin. Just need to move the posts back a few mm to center the arch over the fronts.

Nice! Underrated chassis the FF-01 plus I always like my kits to mimic the correct drive tain of the originals.

My FF-01 Cavalier, wished I known all about the wet placement of stickers when I did this! Still turned out pretty well plus being a runner it's going to get bashed, much like that era's full scale racers!

If we're doing dusty old touring chassis here's my Corally C4 with the optional carbon staggered chassis. Still works perfectly even if the Hpi 911 body is a little dirty! I'll dig out my FF-01 Cavalier for a pic..

    What should I build next?

DB-01 v DB-02 voter here.. Always good to see the evolution in design of a class, do the solutions to one design create other unseen o es in the next generation? Also interested in seeing the XV-01 set up as a drifter. Great choice.

That looks awesome, think that's made my mind up to get a Top Cat and not the Astute! Love the dark fade from black to blood red.

So, What Have You Done Today?

So I finished the Pumpkin, just waiting on a set of front leds for the lights. Kept the original wheels for now, the black TT-02r wheels were a better fit just the wrong colour so will keep a look out for something more suitable in the same size and chromed. Won't detail anymore as it's a runner so will get bashed! @BadcrumbleInstalled the Spektrum Dx5c into the CR-01. Wow, how easy is it to use! Now have front, 4ws, crab and rear wheel steering just by toggling the 'd' switch. Impressed by the AVC so it's staying in this now plus I think I may be converted to steerwheels. Many more options to explore, wondering what else I could plug into the spare channels!
  23. Welcome back to the most slippery of slippery slopes! There's a wealth of information here from some seriously talented people so my only tip would be to ask away and be prepared for your car collection to expand significantly.... With that in mind one of the best things I did was to get a radio set that supports multiple models and had a few more advanced features. Was a Core Code Stick set (that is now sadly discontinued) that I run 14 models off just by choosing which model in the menu. Have just bought a Spektrum Dx5c to supplement it (and run more channels for my CR-01) which will support 20 vehicles.

    The "postman Brought Me" Thread

Spektrum Dx5c arrived less than 24 hours from ordering from Modelsport.co.uk after the eBay offer! First impressions are very positive, not used a steerwheel before so going to be bit of a learning curve. It's for the CR-01 to assign the rear steer to switches. Think I'll get a regular 4 channel receiver for that however and set the AVC one up in the M-06 seeing as that needs the stability control... @Badcrumble I'll keep you posted.
