  1. Gotta be the Porsche 959 I reckon. Everything else worthy of a OMG by Tamiya has been done for me. I would still bite Kyosho's hand off if an Optima Mid appeared however!
  2. They have to compress so much to fit that the springs have way to much preload. I even tried with different lower spring retainers but I didn't have any other bigger bore springs to really sort it. The overall length you can reduce with internal spacers, but you really need shorter springs too. I'm looking at the manual and wondering if they may work with the other shock mounts... 🤔
  3. Reckon you could. I'm using a Hobbywing 10BL60 that sits on the servo and is to high for a driver. I could tuck a Hobbywing 1060 behind the servo (low profile) and the receiver stuck to the chassis side. Would look cool with Billy in there.

  5. Finished the Terra Scorcher. Had planned to use VQS HiCaps but they simply don't fit correctly so mugged my DT-03 for its black CVA's. I've never liked the yellow CVA's but will use them for my Lunchbox plus the DT-03 has had bit of a shock upgrade! Had planned to get a Thundershot shell but I really like how it came out so will leave for now.
  6. A Novafox from the ever excellent @Fusion-Hobbies Missed them the first time around, chuffed to finally get one.
  7. Director of a four salon group in the South of England. We've recently won an award for our Training Academy, Whoop whoop!
  8. Optima Mid - Any version.. Tenth Technology Predator Tamiya have done all I've wanted!
  9. Yup, fenders on... I'm getting more and more convinced by this release. Looks great from the side.
  10. Wanted a Thundershot for ages, but this made the most sense from Fusion with all the hop ups already included. Will get a stronger A5 mount, convert the front back to a mono shock and get a Thundershot body.
  11. That's brilliant. Probably what the EVO should've been!
  12. Like. Impressed, should be an interesting build. Reckon the body would look better painted differently though.
  13. I have a Super Hotshot. It's pretty standard but I run it on 8.4v Nimh with the supplied motor. It's been bullet proof and I'd not change anything on the transmission side. Only mod I've done is to replace the shocks to shorter bodied CVA'S (so that the chassis bottomed out on the front) and put gold DF3 springs on with thicker oil (500w).
  14. Never knew you could remove paint that well with remover. Impressive, will have to add one to my kit. I've a few bodies that could do with a little sort out.
  15. Completely get your point, it would just be nice not to have to cut out some of the more complicated shapes. I'm more than happy to paint and cut out bodies (would much rather do it myself even if at the time I'm wishing it was already done!) but cutting out the stickers seems a bit archaic now!
  16. Already posted in the Mark 2 thread. The custom stickers are great, really wish Tamiya would precut theirs! Easy build, looking forward to running it at the weekend.
  17. Finished the Mk2 Escort (pic in Mk2 thread). Great bodyshell looks so right, really happy with the British Airways stickers. Why oh why doesn't Tamiya supply pre cut ones as well?!
  18. Another one to add to fold. Easily one of my favourite bodies. Just waiting on oil shocks and black M-05ra uprights. Not sure I'd want to tackle the headlight stickers again mind!
