  1. Finished the FF-03. Had to remove all the grey and red racing stickers as they lifted hours after they were all put down. No idea why, but they were pre cut if that makes a difference? May order another set as the paint came out spot on. Just need to order some Schumacher SST Rally tyres as they rally ones I have are to big in diameter. Thought about using M chassis wheels and rally tyres as their combined diameter should fit without butchering the shell. Any suggestions gratefully received. I'll obviously cut the posts down once the new tyres are fitted.. 😁
  2. Glad you got all sorted. The tinkering is half the fun 😁
  3. What @Juls1 said. Weight needs torque to initially shift it so I'd definitely swap as I bet the DT-03 is lighter than the Stadium Thunder. Let us know the result.
  4. I've a small garden and find the Neo Fighter cool for scooting about but can't properly rag it. My suggestion would actually be a Hornet. It doesn't steer, skips all over place so is really fun in a "pointing in sort of the right direction" kind of way. It's not over powered with the silver can and will run for ages on a 3300 Nimh.
  5. Love this! Great idea whilst we're all cooped up, could definitely get pretty inspirational.
  6. Either.. Seriously I'd be tempted to go brushless as the Tble-02 has really good brakes and a Lipo alarm is so cheap, gives you much longer run times and lighter weight for any given battery capacity... Having said that its so easy doing a super neat install with a HW1060... Whichever, ease up on heat shrink! 😁
  7. Always. One of each of the two that your deciding between according to the wisdom here. 😉
  8. Wow, that doesn't sound right! One last thing to check. Place the car on a flat surface and look at it from the rear at eye level. Check that the wheels both leave the ground at the same time if you slowly lift it from the middle at the back. A pencil under the motor is good for this. Your looking to see if the chassis is "tweaked" or if one wheel drops / drops lower than the other. I'm sure on one side of the M-06 the upper suspension arm can catch on the chassis at full extension limiting wheel travel on that side. If so just add a small washer or two internally on the rear damper shaft so that they both extend the same. If that's not it, crack open the polish, buff it up and sling it on the shelf! 😁
  9. What difference a roof makes! Great colour, also never really liked the Sonic Fighter but yours is definitely cool 😎
  10. Before you give up with it try much stickier rear tyres than the front.. I really like mine, it's one of my favourites! Still, different strokes for different folks and all that 😁
  11. @ChrisRx718 is a good shout. My diff has AW grease in it, enough to make the wheels slow to rotate if you hold them in your hands and turn in the opposite direction.
  12. I'd put a vote in for the Avante or CR-01. Both overly complicated for their intended use but really well engineered.
  13. I feel your pain! 😁 The M-06 definitely takes a little finesse to get the most out of it. Being rwd as soon as you hit the brakes it's like pulling on a handbrake which is magnified by any toe you have set in the front wheels (angle off center). I found mine best with completely neutral steering, soft rear springs and light oil, harder front springs and heavier oil plus soft initial brakes on the speedo. Neutral steering minimises any spin, soft rear allows the back to roll and grip, a stiffer front alleviates the pitch forwards and lightening of the rear keeping weight transfer to a minimum. Once you have the hand of it they're ace to drift about.
  14. Might be a stupid question but did you apply to the outside of the body or inside like normal PS paint? I'm happy to be flamed if I'm being daft!
  15. The Ff-03, Nissan Silvia Bodyset for the M-06, a servo and hi torque saver for the ff-03. I'll be well prepared if I have to self isolate! 😁
  16. Definitely needs a thread of its own! Introduced my face to a tree whilst downhilling on a mountain bike... Was more annoyed about the busted new helmet than battered and bruised mug..
  17. Wired up the cheap "Blue bottle" brushless 13.5t and Toro TS50 into the Dual Ridge. Still need to fine tune the settings but blimey does it shift and stop!
  18. Ordered a new shell for the M-06. The Pumpkin took bit of whack last time out against a wall and I can't be bothered to go through all the process of masking, painting, polishing, glossing and filling at the moment. Will be nice to have a much lighter lexan body (Nissan Silva) on it to see how it really goes however. After many weeks and much deliberation on the pros and cons of a XV-01 v Topcat v Egress v Astute debate I decided to order a.... .. Honda Civic Ff-03! 😁 Saw some of the members on here had modded them for rally and thought as I have a TT-02 and a fair few buggies it'll make a nice comparison to the original FF-01 I have. Will be boxart with rally wheels and no mods to simply rag around the garden.
  19. Noice! Great colour, especially with the gun metal (?) wheels. Like.
  20. My second Skyrc Toro TS50 arrived for the Tt-02b. I'm bit of a fan so may order another for the M-06 when I can get another Blue Brushless 13.5t motor off the flea Bay. Nice to be able to use one program box for multiple cars.
  21. Played with the set up on the Skyrc Toro TS50. Never had so many options through the Program box before. Have set wheel diameter, gear ratio (fdr), 1st and 2nd stage brakeforce, percentage at which the brake force changes, motor direction, cut off point, running mode, reverse speed and all this after updating it via the Skyrc website. There's a few more settings I've still to figure out... So long as I haven't made a complete hash of these! The program box can also be used to test servos, motors and lipo batteries which will be my next task seeing as the weather here in the UK is pretty bad at the moment. Properly impressed, just really could do with a few dry days in a row to run it.
  22. @CoolHands what @ThunderDragonCy has linked to. If you pop in 13.5t brushless into the bay or Google you'll get plenty of options at varying prices. They hover around £20 and occasionally drop right down. My cheap one came through as a buy it again notification.
  23. Spot the difference, one of these was £22 the other £11.. Both brand new off flea Bay. They're identical (yes I know the sensor leads are different 😁) and hopefully as good as the previous one I received. Just waiting on another Sky Rc TS50 to arrive so I can pop one in the TT-02B. £33 for two 13.5t brushless motors is still a bargain me thinks.
  24. Great job so far @TurnipJF. Sorry about the outdrives, they were from my TT-02B I'd assumed they'd have been the same as a regular TT-02. I'll have another dig about just in case I missed anything. Think a second TT-01 is a great idea if we can.
